Progress Made? Jolly Good!

Hey!

So, anyone know anything about setting up Wi-Fi in MS-DOS?

My system's multi-boot - Xubuntu 9.04, Windows XP "Performance Edition", and FreeDOS. Toshiba Satellite A2100 Laptop.

While I'm having some sass in regards to partitions, Xubuntu is almost fully up and runnin'. Still gotta do the video drivers, but last time I installed the recommended drivers, it farked up my install and I couldn't even get to the Xubuntu login menu. So I'm treading lightly with that baby.

Windows XP - I've got it mostly set up, but it's having a hard time detecting BlueTooth, Wi-Fi, the correct monitor, and a couple other hardwired device systems (as in, embedded inside the laptop.. it asks for me to plug in these devices, alas they are pre-plugged, wink wink.)

FreeDOS
.. Doesn't want to boot anymore. Not a biggie, I can reinstall it, this is just a just-started-today-as-far-as-I-know sort of thang. May even be fixable. I can only access the FreeDOS partition from my XP Boot though... Linux just doesn't seem to want to read Fat16. Gosh. But if I can get DOS running, with Wireless networking, and rudimentary email and office programs, I should have a lightweight work system balancing out speed and battery usage. Furthermore fiddling with the source and setup will allow me to conduct research into further development of this platform in regards to miniaturization and implementation in small-scale embedded wearable computer systems. Should be a good go!

I'm aware I drummed up a bit of interest when I first unveiled the project. What I'd like to ask for is a bit of server space so I can upload what I have, and make tutorials for installation. I'd like to set it up in an adaptation of the "wiki" format, as I believe this format provides a means for excellent documentation, and anyone who works with computers can attest to the value of proper documentation.

Thanks!

To properly thank you for reading this novel and giving me your thoughts...

Well, let's see, what can I post?

Lemme check my photobucket.

Here's one!
