New grafics, new items

Hey, i just checked out http://www.uo-pixel.de, i bet you guys have seen it before. There are some amazing new grafics there, like this:

Now before you rip me to pieces, Coli. (xD)

I know this is a lot of work in balancing and so on, but since it is possible to change the look of items per donation, wouldn't this be an option like an extra juicy morsel for donatees ? That way, there's no balancing to be done, you can simply use the new grafic.

Other then that i also offer my free time to help testing the new stuff.

Ok, I'm gonna be honest... it's not like you created this monstrosity.. but that's so what it is.. this looks horrible lol. Hopefully when /if we do have any additions to the game they will never look anything like this, lol. :nod:

Did you even look at the site ?

All this piece requires is a little love on the edges. I'd even volunteer to do it, i'm a pro in ps, so no worries there.

There is lots of cool stuff on the site.

i kinda like it .... well not the horned helmet but .... the shield and robe with the design and depth are awesome.... its not just the same plain robe that everyone has ... and of course the green is ugly but yeah i can see that in purple with black hehe :D and well you know me i would never ever spat about not wanting deco added hehe :) although i would have to find a place to put it ... *scratches head* hehe

I was referring to the example picture. Ive been to the site a lot, and some things are ok.

Hey!~ some of that stuff looks really awesome! and it's not like there's been any other additions to ultima clothing and such added...

It's planned that we will upgrade to 6.x client, which will however require some core upgrades.
We will start the client from scratch, meaning that all current graphics need to be transfered from the .mul files into .bmp, and then back into the fresh files from client 6.x.

I also plan on making a statics patcher, so that we could freeze things like the town center, while still being able to change it without major hassle. And possibly remove a tree or two, on request, for a fee of course.

On this occasion, I welcome lots of new graphics into the game. Items, monsters, possibly gumps...
There's already a graphics thread on the development section somewhere.
And well if someone wants to help with the patching, that would be great.


This is going to be a quite big project, and currently I'm pretty low on time so I don't know when I'll start upgrading the core (that will improve speed as well) and i think it wouldn't be wise if we took another 5.0.9 client and patched it again, let's try being more up to date.

I don't think i can help with patching, but i can help with all sorts of grafic stuffs. Mhh ... i should maybe try to make some customs for the shard.

I thin it would be useful to list and sort the grafics that are freely availible to us. That way we can compare and sort out what needs to be worked on and what can be used right away.
