Things worked great until i tried to add case 5(I dont know when to leave things alone). When I have it go up to 5 cases then it does not give anything for some reason?? So I switched back to only do 4. Even though 5 is still in there. I will keep playing with it but it cound live without giving more of those anyway.
The changes I submitted are actually pretty light. So it wont make people want to run out and do up all the maps they have. But people who do do maps may get a few little things here and there.
It could open the door for colibri to add a few goodies of his own to though. Hint! Hint!
soooo its been a year and t hunting in any form be it fishing or t hunting still isnt viable in loot or special item drops compared to well everything else we can do
im not saying t hunting should be insane in payoff but it would be nice if it could live up to its name...treasure hunting

Well, as long as this topic came up, I like to say something too. I LOVE the idea of t-hunting but now even 5lvl treasure is nothing more than a pile of trash. I think there should be much less items in chest, but they should be much better. The guardians should be much stronger. And the maps should be more rare. So, basically, I agree with Rune and hope for some changes. I guess it requires plenty of time and work to remake current system, but until it's done the whole t-hunting feature remains pretty useless.
Maybe the script for making treasure maps fro pieces you get from mobs? possile lev6 maps with some real nasties spawning? rust monsters anyone? ;D would probably cut down on the number of goc pieces floating around pretty quick if folks weren't careful ;D
Fixing T_maps wouldn't be a hard task... since there are only 6 map types in game at moment. Adding new items to the list of things that already spawn in said chests, also wouldn't be difficult, since its programed like a data sheet... yes or no to this or that... so on... What should be looked into is basing T-maps off of a Treasure hunters total luck. (based off of the 0-1200 luck system)
This would be the short fix... probably take a week to redo...
Additions would take longer and might cost certain items from being found in a Treasure chest.
Gem's only one each... that needs to be changed to be varied off of what the level of the map is...
Since we can buy reagents cheap, of the Trinsic stone, or find the same reagents in quantities on monsters, i feel that a bag of reagents (like on the Irk) would be sufficient, which would free up plenty of slots in a treasure chest...
Stat Elixirs... Add these to the lesser treasure chest level 1-3. Have them be part of the top 10% rare finds in the chests... would help out the young population...perhaps..
Ointments - add 1-10 max found per chest...? perhaps less...
Materials such as ingots, leather, large gems, boards, specialty arrows, even recipe's and BoD rewards from all fields...
There is much more we could have added... but i leave it to the examples above and one final idea...
Something new... a fragment of some variation... that when collected creates a new useful material or item (even if its a deco, say a Bust of the current GM's) would add flavor and make the EX shard even more Unique in its Quality.
