Semi-new to Shard

Post by migrax »

One and All;
I have been trying out a few of the free shards for UO, I have decided to settle here.There is a great community here and I really enjoy the interaction as well as the help that has been offered to me in general. Also personally I thank those whom have offered assistance as I re-learn the UO world/interface (Amadman and Sublequintcy specifically as well as others). Truth be told, I never really played the OSI servers much because I just felt like a fish out of water (also the other free shards I tried) and your shard simply kicks their butts.
Sublequintcy (I hope I spelled that right) took me on an outing to a dungeon (don't remember the name right off) which resulted in me dying 4 times and having a generally good time. We walked out of that dungeon with several thousand gold and a new understanding of of what "getting your ass handed to you" felt like. It was a great feeling to exit the dungeon intact and the split at the bank was generous. I look forward to more such lessons in humility in the future.
Amadman showed me around to some of the other facets and showed me Mook Town where I can dig ore to my heart's content. Being a craftsman at heart and acquiring the status of GM Blacksmith/Miner over the last couple of weeks I have also gotten to do a lot of crafting and look forward to learning more, as my character is GM but I have a lot of learning to do.
At any rate, well done.
