So I'm hoping you all get as much enjoyment out of this as I did; this video is hilarious and downright awesome. :mrgreen:

What you're about to watch is an "Afghanistan Remix" of Lady Gaga's latest controversial song; Telephone. Of course, in this video you will not see Lady Gaga nor her counterpart Beyonce. However, you will witness some of our troops putting on a display quite like you've never seen.

It's great, isn't it? :mrgreen:

Apparently, the video was only intended for friends and family and in the first two days, that video accrued more than 200,000 views. That's ridiculous since most of them take at least a few weeks.

I'd be inclined to watch it if it wasn't Lady GaGa. You know she's been around like ten years and only just now do people actually care about her music....right? I think she has no talent, especially since I'm sure she didn't write her beats, just the words...

Please; let's not get into another ridiculous discussion about morality and anything that could lead to political discussion.

A thread I started over two months ago was locked all because I found two things poking fun at our government and it's fallible system. It was not created to stir up controversy; just a laugh. I was a staunch Bush supporter for the most part; and had those posts revolved around him, I still would have posted it. Don't mistake me for a "bandwagon" jumper. I formed my own educated opinions about Obama, and there are several things he has done while in office, and many more he has failed to do. But alas, he is just like 90% of the politicians out there; they'll lie through their teeth to get what they want. And most, could never identify with a hard working American; they all come bearing bags of money on their back; in other words, they're wealthy.

I'm not inviting discussion on that thread; but essentially throwing a disclaimer out there. This thread was created because I found a video with a few of our courageous Marines performing a remake to Lady GaGa. The thread isn't here to discuss her graphic video content, or her in general.

I found the video amusing; and despite how childish it looks, I still salute them. They still deserve it; regardless of your political spectrum.

Exactly... This video was really entertaining for me, and if its gonna lead to .. Lack of a better word "bad" news, then no need to post negativity, i like Lady Gaga. I dont care about what shes done, or what... Bottom line is, she is entertaining for alot of people...

If you didnt think this video was funny, well... Thats all im gonna say, was "well" ...

so this is what our troops are doing in iraq, making youtube videos. our foreign policies makes so much sense now

I hope that was sarcasm! :wink:

But in all honesty; down times are the worst really. Basic recon, humping it out in the bush, even the occasional firefight was much better than sitting around in the CHUs or the DFAC.

Making youtube videos might be crude and questionable, but its just one way to embrace the suck in Iraq.
