Fingers, I am a fan of axes and have decent lumberjacking ability. I'll keep an eye out for an Ornate Axe.

Amadman, thanks for reminding me about the powder. I've never been much of a blacksmith so I forget about those things. :-)

I am curious if mods apply during execution of special moves. The reason I ask is because I have been deciding whether to make my first lvl weap a hanzo or horselord but then yesterday I rolled a double axe with 25% dam 38% life leech 26% mana leech 26% physical area and I was thinking with whirlwind it might prove a pretty sweet weap for champs...or not..

well if you can put your hands on a titan hammer, it would be better as its 100% area of effect. For whirlwing, its more reliable. Also, i would hesitate to slap a leveling deed on your axe as the leeches intensities (26%) are pretty low.

Good luck!

I can concur, the titans hammer is nasty with big letters when whirling : ) it also lvls really fast hehe, too bad there arent any similiar weapons with that awesome special abilites that dont cost double the points to lvl :(

here is a bow i'm leveling right now:

Damage increase: 75%
Dex bonus: 8
Hit chance increase 41%
Luck: 400
Mana regen: 1 (that was a dummy mistake, but i may max it later)
Stamina regen: 10 (only costs 2 levels)
spell channeling
Strength bonus: 8
swing speed increase: 38% (plus headband of power 30% = 68%)

only thing i added by eds was the luck.

personally i like the stamina regen, because if i take a hit i can run save my mana for other things (ie armor piercing), and this is a weapon i plan to relayer. so it really depends on what you are going to do with leveled weapon. :)

on area effect damage: very nice for bios in a spawn, especially if you also tie it in with a high life leech.

so you see it all depends on what you plan on using the weapon for. i have at least 5 different weapons at level 50 for different purposes.

Unless you get 200ED and remove the Arti tag, then the points cost normal.

Melkor if you slap a weapon lvl deed on a arti by time level 100 you could have the 200 eds before using anypoints
