Okay. I suggest that rather than deal with the idea on an abstract level, you simply post some prices for things and ask what people think. Looks like this thread got off on the wrong foot, so maybe start a new one called "Pricing Guidelines" or something. Since everyone knows that prices will fluctuate, you could focus on relative value. And instead of seeming to want to control the economy by fiat (which most people agree is quixotic), you could focus on providing useful information.

Just my take on things.

As we debate the excalating prices of stuff on the shard, goc's have dropped to avg of 150 eds or 8 mil down from 200 eds 10 mil. And for all of you bio makers. I turn in about 1 large taming bod a day. In last 2 weeks I have not received any organics from them as reward. (lots of bio books, and stupid veterinary stuff). If this continues the demand for organics will probably go up. Just curious if anybody else has hit a dry spell on organics as I have.

yes i have had quite a problem withthat. i have been doing bod's recently for organics and i jsut finished a 20 dragon/drake/white wyrm, ect, ect, and all i got out of it was a +5 vet cloak and that was it this isnt the first time a dry spell has hit excelsior but this time it is worse and i just hope the young players can keep the organics flowing from the newbie dung quest.

I'll give you guys something to argue about... these prices are what I would consider the "average" of what the items generally sell for, all prices in gold.

ITEMS

150k Unitub
50k Excelsior Dollars
10m Titans hammer

PETS

Bios
10m Maxed Human bio (Without CoN, XXX/XXX)
7m Maxed Human bio (CoN/XXX, or Single)

Imps (add 1/2 the price again for dogs, as they are rarer)
550k Imprisoned Squirrel/Ferret (270+)
650k Imprisoned Squirrel/Ferret (280+)
750k Imprisoned Squirrel/Ferret (290+)
1m Imprisoned Squirrel/Ferret (300-340) (Represents the "average" group)
1.25m Imprisoned Squirrel/Ferret (340+)
2.5m Imprisoned Squirrel/Ferret (350+)
5m Imprisoned Squirrel/Ferret (360+)

Price fixing wont work. Will always be someone undercutting and someone else pricing higher. Supply and demand.
