Mining Tinker kits

i made a new guy, trained mining and tinkering to 100 and locked blacksmith at 0, and i still got a blacksmith hammer. no matter how many elementals i summon, i have never seen a tinker kit on a ele. what am i doing wrong?

I get a tinkering kit in about one out of every 4 so don't know if your doing anything wrong or just luck. Not UO luck but just luck. I was with a friend last night when he was mining and it was 1 out of 10 getting a kit.

You have my sympathy krystol, I went the other route and concentrated on Mining and Blacksmithy, like you for ages I found nothing but tinker kits, strange that you find these when your mining but later on I began to get the Runic Hammers too, so just persevere my friend.
