Bio fighting questions...
Ok im new to bios...I have a human female bio with counter healing and fire something.
I need some general tips from ppl in the know on how to best use her. I already figured out that you need to give her a spelchanaling weapon or she will unequip it. my questions right now are.
Do i need to give her regents and a spell book, i KNOW she is casting some spells without them.
is there anyway to control how often she uses her
I stam the mail thing a bio needs? or does the special move need mana too?
well i got go to work, but if you have anything else i should know plz post as well.
Thanks all

Re: Bio fighting questions...
she wont need a spellbook and regs and her specials are dependent on stamina only, so a weapon with high stamina leech is important.

Re: Bio fighting questions...
so I don't really need to worry about mana leach on a weapon? im working on a 60 stam leach, 60 life leach for her. ill have 140 points left to spend and i was gona put 45 mana leach but maybe ill just put them in lighting or something. Comments?

Re: Bio fighting questions...
mana wont be a big issue with her so you could probably go ahead and put the points into something else.
Re: Bio fighting questions...
One of the best weapons to get would be the Blade of Insanity, its an artifact (Doom if I recall) the only drawback is that you would need to add a Spell Channeling deed to the weapon for maximum use. A bit pricey but it is probably one of the best options out there...
Re: Bio fighting questions...
If you already maxed stam and life regen, then go with lightning. I am doing it myself with my bio's weapon. And forget about mana. Basically you need bio to burn all the mana as fast as possible and regen it as slow as possible, cause it deal much mоre dmg by melee fighting than be casting spells. So be sure to equip it with some metal armor to prevent faster mana regen. And also try to put 100% reflect dmg in it.Nick wrote:so I don't really need to worry about mana leach on a weapon? im working on a 60 stam leach, 60 life leach for her. ill have 140 points left to spend and i was gona put 45 mana leach but maybe ill just put them in lighting or something. I am totally disagree. Blade of Insanity (as any gauntlet arties) have doubled cost of leveling and its original stats not so great either. It nice, but you can find better on looted weapon. And you can add twice as much by leveling.bentho wrote:One of the best weapons to get would be the Blade of Insanity, its an artifact (Doom if I recall) the only drawback is that you would need to add a Spell Channeling deed to the weapon for maximum use. But you can use EDs to remove the artifact tag so it has normal costs for leveling.Stranger wrote: I am totally disagree. You can also use EDs to change it to a different weapon type (Lance for instance has the highest damage of 1handers).
You cannot use EDs to make a weapon have 100% stamina leech

Re: Bio fighting questions...
Does 100% stam leech is really necessary? My bio's stam pool almost always full with 60% leech. Also I've heard that bio do not benefit from weapon's dmg stat.
Re: Bio fighting questions...
Why he said it was one of the best weapons, not that it was necessary.
quick test and yeah it doesn't seem like the weapon matters. but my other points remain

Re: Bio fighting questions...
Well i turned a taskmaster into a halberd, and added a spellchanleling deed. the 100% hit poison area works good for gathering targets. so after 60 life and stam leach dump the rest in to hit lighting sounds like the general concessess. I do a lot of eather champ fighting or umbris camp farming. So mana is bad for a bio...stam is good...and try to get plate reflect physical damage. also how much of a difrence does 130 anat and tactics pet power scrolls make for a bio? at 5m a pop if it doesn't really help much i can do with out...at least for now....
Re: Bio fighting questions...
Just though I would add this in regards to weapons and gearing. I got mixed opinions on whether ir not bios swing speed was hard coded vs based on weap speed and if they benifited from SSI or not.
I spent a good deal of time last night testing and the results were very clear. The bio swung the same speed bare handed, with a dagger, a maul and a hally all at zero SSI. There was also no change between a maul at zero SSI and a maul at 105 SSI. Therfor it is safe to say you can ignore this stat when min/maxing your bio's gear.
Still untested (working on it) are a DI and SDI (for hit spell). DI I can do, sdi it may be helpful if some one with all goc pieces and other max intensity sdi gear tests.
Also unclear as to whether bios are subject to the same item caps as players.

wish i could find the post that colibri posted that states NPC's swing speed is hard coded in with movement speed. To lazy to look though xD

Re: Bio fighting questions...
Yea I don't see any reason why the swingspeed for bios would be any different then other pets. Testing confirms. I seem to remember swing speed is based on movement speed which is based of difference between max health and current health.Gwendolyn wrote:Dj Sticky wrote:Just though I would add this in regards to weapons and gearing.
