Proposal : Reset a Lvl Weapon

I would like to propose players be able to purchase deeds capable of resetting the point spread on a leveled weapons back to zero and/or for a greater fee reset the point spread for redistribution. This would be a great opportunity for many players to fix the errors made in their pasts as well as a way for the shard to drum up more donations from people wanting to obtain ED's to do so. Feel free to offer your support or tear the idea up, I am interested in your opinions.

I made that proposal a few weeks ago but i don't think it will get much traction. But, you never know. If enough players ask for it......

i love the idea....but if it is done it neds to be a high end item or pricey item to make sure it does not give greed a role for weapon selling ... maybe set it up so that lvl of wep is = to cost ... i.e lvl 5 wep redistribute points deed is 50k lvl 10 is 20k ( not these prices just using as example) nad then so on so on depending on lvl ..you know

logical.. doesn't allow players to reset the points spend on silly things for the purposes of resale but allows the player for a price to change their mind how the points were spent after a whoopsie... for a price.. and one that slides based on how big a reset it is.. diminishing hte chances of a points spent lvl 80+ being reset for resale.. but rather for a difference in spend philosophy by a player buying a weap or a player correcting a whoopsie

gwen actually did come up with a post before about this. if you ever looked really close to my halberd there is a hit lower defense 1 oopies. grrr would like to get that back. i'd put it in str. would give me an even 4 hps boost (every little bit helps ) instead of 3 (shurup you trolls out there saying like i need more. :Þ)

people unfamilair with completionist philosophies, more power philosophies, and the myrad of other amazing ways to be successfull here by playing the game... not just donations may disagree with you anarchy but I think your gear and desire to reset the lost point is valid, Id love the 1% lower stat requirment to be mulligan'd as well

From my understanding, the problem with resetting a weapon was that the staff cannot determine the original properties of a weapon.

hmm that would be a problem wouldn't it.. well rationally there would rarely be a case when a person wants to scrub a weapon clean vs remove a couple points.. so couldn't you almost make it like a dyetub with charges and you get a dialog similar to the point spend dialog, only its point de-spending.. would allow its use to be metered with gold etc..

so why not have something that only resets last lvl up to 5? the uses counter is a great idea with that ...so this way it does not have to fall to base stats unless it within first 5 lvl's . so maybe make something the removes points from one area of weapon and places it in another ...i.e anarchy ...buy the scroll/deed ... remove from defense and place in str ...you make this a one time item or a limited use item ....and limit the times it can be used on a wep...i dont know ....i think the answer is right in front of all of us we are just making it more difficult then it is ...lol

Or... A Fee of 100k Tokens (or similar cost) to buy a deed which "Removes" a Weapon Lvl Deed from a weapon. Players can then mount their own Weapon Lvl'ing Deed. Would be the same result as your proposal, however it would behoove you to not make 'mistakes'.

Although this would ruin the whole scene for acquiring that 'perfect item', and would end the trade for imprecisely and poorly built items, although after awhile this should dissapear all together... and would also kind of force the people currently selling their poorly-made item to buy a re-set deed to still be able to compete with others, which may be kind of a good gold sink...
