Wow, what Ceara said! I started same way, just took me a little longer to get on my feet beacuse i didn't get any loan =P

You can't please everyone and there will always be those who try to take advantage, so the thing is "just keep walking"...

Try not to get so mad at these things... when you get mad at something, just turn off the pc, have a nice walk around the park, clear your mind, and when you're calm again, come back and get back at doing stuff you like doing in game, after all, it's what the game is meant for: having fun!

remember when most people were getting mad at a player for buying up eds at 50k ea then selling them for 100k ea? remember Colibri had to literally step in and put eds on exex for a lower price.

but... this is a very successful shard. you don't go over 4 years erm. 5 years and running with a player base of 200+ if you weren't.

Well guys, this is sooooo lazy and stupid, the first pictures was fun and coments were right, i was able to change some points of view ( this why a forum exist for) every one has the right to use forum to expose what he is thinking rihgt?

Now this is cleary a kind of public "rudeness show" to see who say the most funny thing or who closes this newbie mouths, andi really found it kind of lazy, "because the freaky newbie did some freaky coments which doesnt like to the forum police"...

All i read was wah wah wah. To be honest i'm glad if you do leave. Ex doesn't need more people like yourself. If you don't understand economy you can just close your vendor. This happens every day in real life too.

The only difference is in real life when there's a squeeky wheel you just wont be in business any longer. I run a store in real life and i wouldn't earn a living if people didnt sell me stuff cheap to retail at a higher value and even often bulk sale for more than i paid.

You earned your Currency and you should just move on, here's the part where you're like wah wah wah. You can look in the "quote' where you said you wont change your mind about posting in the future.

If you're after guidance, wisdom, or any form of Intelligence then you yourself have to be open to change and constructive learning. Unfortunately you're not.

Still kudos to gwendolyn because she summed up the first page with a few pictures that = pure awesome.

OK, so, yup, crap i don't know how to start... so here it is... kind of: i don't know if this is just me, but, I'd be rather glad than angry if someone just came and bought all the things that i put in my vendor and then would try to resell em for double my price... and here is why:
- IF you sell stuff for lower prices than the usual market price, you could make a name for yourself and make some constant buyers along the way also...
- IF someone comes in and buy all of your stuff and then you see him/her/himer(lol) selling em for double or triple or 800x your price you should be happy for two simple reasons: 1) you already made your job as a salesman and 2) you can continue to fill it up again, knowing that he/she will buy em again and you could raise your prices and he'll continue to buy your stuff FOR MORE CASH!
- IF someone comes and buys your stuff and then doubles the price on his store, you're gonna be known as the guy that sometimes has great items for low prices, so people are gonna be constantly checking your store to see if your goods haven't been bought yet, which in the end will lead to your store being checked constantly and that the reseller will buy your stuff for once again MORE FREAKING CASH $$$.

So in conclusion: ITS ALL GOOOOOOOD ♫ and don't bitter yourself for other people's actions! You just go kill some mongbats, watch em suffer and just laugh a bit (please don't call Greenpeace on me because i like to torture mongbats, they don't have any feelings lulz)

In a nut shell Rainmaker is right, your vendor will have more people looking on it than the others if your prices are more than reasonable. your making a profit of the items you sell anyway, and if the items move quickly then that is really good...

it will become a problem if everyone starts to sell stuff for silly prices and causes inflation, but there are a lot of people out there that are reasonable, so don't worry about it

There is one person I know who tries selling items for silly prices and everytime I check there vendor out it's always got the same items on it because they can't shift them... Think about it

Honestly, the best deterrent to someone that's price gouging with your items is that if the items are overpriced, nobody is going to buy them.

If the concern is that you can't be altruistic and price your items very low without someone reselling them, well, that's capitalism.

I don't see anyone accusing any of the vets doing the same thing this guy is doing, and yet there are multiple examples of people reselling major items they purchased for significant profits. Holypal is one good example of this - and he's undoubtedly making a killing off of it - and nobody is holding that against him (and they shouldn't). He's a merchant, and that player type likes playing markets, and they like making money by flipping items - it's just a style of play.

It's the same as Nelapsi running balrons 24/7 or Anarchy camping ointment locations or Zar Ivan running peerless spawns to make sure his awesome weapon vendor is frequently stocked with great looted items and recipes. All of these players are making millions from what they're doing (and what I've said they're doing undoubtedly isn't everything they're doing), and in my opinion none of them are "harming the shard" by doing it.

Excelsior has a lot of veteran players with a lot of gold and very little to spend it on, and there are people looking to capitalize on that to get into the money game. It's just one method of catching up when you've joined late.
