Hello each.
I'm having a problem buying a pickaxe, they are usually buyable at tinkers but are not showing up for some reason. Maybe UO didn't install correctly? I used the approved, pre-patched client, any thoughts?
Tools, Tools, Where Are the Tools?
Re: Tools, Tools, Where Are the Tools?
miners (and blacksmiths?) sell them
Failure is not an option, it's a standard.

Ah now you've put your finger on it. I now see there are no miner npcs in my world. I've been everywhere they'd usually be, and the nearest are miner guildmasters.
Re: Tools, Tools, Where Are the Tools?
I know there's at least one miner in Minoc near the mine.
Also, might be easier to buy a shovel with several thousand uses on [exex.

Thanks for the info, just found one in Britain too., they just were not in the places I remembered them to be. Then again, I've been away from UO for quite a while:)

It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.

Palan,
It would be most beneficial for you to take up tinkering as you begin/continue your career in mining. Tinkering will allow you to turn those ingots you gather, into fine tools (picks and shovels) that will help you mine more ingots initially. As time goes on, you will be able to craft many different and useful tools and other items.
Good luck!
