My gripe...
Re: My gripe...
I agree with what everyone is saying, they bought what they thought would be a "Unique" item. It was for a few months. I think the problem really lies in how Staff just openly dropped the value of this "Unique" item. They will never be able to sell it for what the people at that auction got it up to. Not even close to it. Only way to keep it Unique is to sell it to the public at the same price the winner got it for. It shows how much 1 person really wanted to have it. That is a compliment to the designer and dropping the price would kinda take their pride away from it. Honestly we like your creativeness we will pay somewhere near the price Watcher did for that design. We can try our best to recreate it with a yard wand and house customization, but that costs gold. It is still not going to be the "Admin/GM crafted Unique" design that they saw that the Admin/GM should get the credit for. Another aspect of this game is to work for the items that you really "want". If you prefer doing champs or killing monsters or selling crafted/quest items then go do it. If you really want that item that you saw sold at an auction then you will pay around the same price. People do overbid alot at auctions "flexing their financial muscles" just to have it. So say an item sells for 13mil at an auction ok 6 months later you see it again for sell 10 mil that is still showing the designer that we appreciate their creative skills, as well as working as a gold sink.

Firstly everything that he said is true. Secondly if you read his entire discourse it is clearly written in a polite and adult manner. Thirdly the person who he was referring to in your out of context quotes does behave in the exact way that he described on the forums.
Honestly, you are too new to the server to understand what TheWatcher has done for younger players on the shard... it is because of people like you that he no longer helps newer players and runs fun giveaway events...

Re: My gripe...
I think this thread is funny, I myself have had buyers remorse more then once about things Ive bought at an auction.
But this thread is just too much. lol Here are some quotes about wealth/money to lighten the mood.
"Money can't buy everything--for example poverty."
Nelson Algren
"Soon gotten, soon spent; ill gotten, ill spent."
John Heywood
"A man's true wealth is the good he does in this world."
Bendixline
"Wealth consists not in having great possessions but in having few wants."
Epicurus
"Money talks, but all it ever says is good-bye."
American Proverb

Hehe yeah Layfon it has degenerated somewhat.... some fools decide trollling and flaming is the way to go instead of contributing to the discussion... I smell a locked coming up...
And as for you Omni, honestly, dude. You take quotes out of context. The sentances meaning comes fromt he sentances around it. Quoting away like you do does not make a point. You have no idea... I am saying it is because of noobs like you who have little respect for vets who generally do good things and instead bag them out that many people cease to want to help noobs like yourself out.
What is your ingame name?

Re: My gripe...
You want my in game name? its none of your business as it has NO bearing on anything. The only reason you would seek such information is to escalate this in game because I dont share your opinion.
Im not the one who started telling people they dont get it, calling them a noobs or saying someone doesnt help new players because of me! Your the one calling names "TROLLING"!!! So how about you take your own medicine before you push it on other people!!!!
