First go to animal trainer vendor, he'll teach you taming and animal lore around 30 for around 300 gold each.

29.1 - 35.1 Boars, Horses, Pack Lama, Pack Horse, Desert Ostard, Forest Ostard, Giant Rat
35.1 - 41.1 Black Bear, Llama, Walrus, Polar Bear
41.1 - 47.1 Brown Bear, Cougar
47.1 - 53.1 Alligator
53.1 - 59.1 Panther, Grey Wolf, Snow Leopard,
59.1 - 60.0 Snake, Grizzley Bear, Great Hart
60.0 - 80.0 Unique Dyes (Dyes, Empty Bottle)
80.0 - 85.0 Rare Dyes (Dyes, Empty Bottle)
85.0 - 100.0 Shrink Potions (5 Petrafied Wood, 10 Spring Angel)

Use dyes on your animals and you'll get dirty bottles. Wash them in water (2x click and target water).

I would like to add that manipulatin with jewelery can speed up taming. Best are +5 ring and +5 brace. I gmed taming in 2 days with those. Remeber that lower % in making dyes give you better gains.

0-30 - Buy from an NPC
30-50 - Boar, Hinds, Ostards, Horses.
50-60 - Brown Bears, Cougars, Polar Bears
60-72 - Great Harts, Grizzlies, White Wolves
72-93 - Bulls, Great Harts, Dire Wolves
93-GM - Bulls, Swamp Dragons

Beyond GM you really need to stay on monsters....
Fire Steed, Nightmares, Dragons And for this Peacemaking is a MUST

Oh....And as a kind note, if you are raising taming the old fashioned way could I ask that you kill your recent tames.
renaming them is just a way to make a note that they have been tamed before, just kill them and they will respawn. I have come across a lot of animals I had to kill in order to get gains.

May I also add, that you can (on this shard anyway) sell certain pets to animal trainers. He will buy the lesser pets, dogs, cats, horses, and such.

A horse is around 77gp, depending on it's MaxLevel. So, there's the chance to make some money while training.

Wyrm. There's the ancient wyrm, non tamable, it's in alot of places and it's quite hard to kill. The white wyrm is in ice dungeon.

You buy bottles, dyes and a brush at the animal trainer. Doubleclick the brush and there you will see all sorts of dyes. Note, the regular ones don't give you skill gains.

I also got gains on taming from 100 to 120 on bulls and ridgebacks and kirin. All these are NOT aggressive. Well kirin may be if you have evil karma.
