titan hammer brain storm
titan hammer brain storm
i've said this before and of course i'll bring this up again. please give me honest opinions. i also know that it will make people have monster gear after what 18 months; if they can come up with the gold/eds. think of it like a +50 max stat scroll. me and a friend were brainstorming that's why i brought it up.
titan hammers should be a 1 time a month purchase on the eds/gold stones. does not mean they can't buy it from another player.
500 eds/25 mil *yes i know 500 eds is 23 mil and some change*
pros:
will make them more affordable to everyone.
will stop people from camping said area.
will reduce gold in the economy. (either by buying it from gold stone/ or 3% commission from exex)
will increase donations.
will add another item sell-able in the market; for people who have instant gratification, and can't wait another month.
cons:
reduce prices on people who can get them.
everyone will have a titan hammer gear (if they can afford it)
the rich would get richer and the poor would stay as they are. (then again isn't that like everything?)
all in all i think that this would improve the shard because
1) it would help reduce gold in the economy.
2) would allow people who don't play a lot to be able to get said rare item.
3) would increase donations. (buying and re layering titan)
please feed back welcome. ok let the flames begin. lol

Thoses are the reasons why this community is divided in two: the donators and the others.anarchy wrote:

Thoses are the reasons wich really make me wonder why I want to be part of this community.
Again I will say that I am firmly opposed at any donation reward giving ingame advantage such as better gear or faster skills and that calling such things "donation" is immensly hypocrit. I beleive that rewards should be purely deco. I know that some other freeuo shards counting 400+ players at all time accept donations without giving ingame rewards.

Re: titan hammer brain storm
sadly enough though that's like everything. GoC's, bio's ... anything high end price can be bought with eds. an omni shirt is 1100 eds starting price again only the rich can afford it. max imps same concept. 10/10 jewlery 3x 58 weapons. the list could go on. in a perfect balanced world everything would be free.
this would make it a little more affordable for people with less cash. titans are going for 1k eds. it would lower it by half making the gap between rich and poor less so.

Re: titan hammer brain storm
Eds should not be an ingame currency.
Re: titan hammer brain storm
you do have a point on that issue but those 400+ player base you can 'donate' to get stuff like better resist gear. this is just a thought. i myself probably wouldn't buy a titan hammer due to the price it is at now. yes i know they have them on raffle stones, but i don't participate a lot of gold for that. i buy only 10 tickets per item.

Re: titan hammer brain storm
I have got all of the above without donating. The pervert effect is that alot of nerfs are made to prevent players to get alot of gold in game. I am of the opinion that all thoses nerfs have for objective to protect the donation pool. Why would anyone "donate" if this other player has all theses relayers additionnal houses huge bag of holding, additionnal follower slots, etc.anarchy wrote:sadly enough though that's like everything. Not the one i am reffering to.anarchy wrote:you do have a point on that issue but those 400+ player base you can 'donate' to get stuff like better resist gear.
Thanks for your interest in making a donation to XXX.
No one is obligated or will receive any type of reward in-game for donating to the shard, and all revenue goes to cover hosting costs, publicity, and other various expenses.
There's no minimum donation, anything helps a lot. We very much appreciate your donation; this helps keep us going!

Re: titan hammer brain storm
i love this part. seeing that +50 max stat scrolls can be gotten in the game. :ONo one is obligated or will receive any type of reward in-game for donating to the shard

I think we don't understand each other again, well at least I dont undestand youanarchy wrote:i love this part. seeing that +50 max stat scrolls can be gotten in the game. :ONo one is obligated or will receive any type of reward in-game for donating to the shard

50 max scrolls can be gotten on uoex. Ok. On that other shard that I quoted the donation politic, no?
Re: titan hammer brain storm
the other shards that allow donations you can get things like gear with resist. they even have a page where you donate and you can chose which item you wanted. been to them. didn't like em. oh the quote i think meant you can't get anything in game from donating like for instance i donated then asked for a blaze of death. he won't do that because you can get that in game. +50 max stat scrolls can be gotten in game from the harrow. so i love that saying.

Re: titan hammer brain storm
I do not own a Titans nor will I likely acquire one in the near future, but my thoughts...
- Titan's Camping: Players will still camp the Titan's spawn spot. It would still be a 25 million gold item (or whatever the agreed upon price would be).
- Market Displacement: Change may be detrimental to practically all other gear areas as a relayered Titan's is (almost indisputably) the best relayer to possess. GoC items, 10x stat jewelry, most looted gear, etc. usually pale in comparison thus it would likely bring the market down for these goods.
- Accessibility: It's nice to marvel with envy at players with a Titan's. Give players something to strive for instead of giving them the option of being instantly gratified. If everyone has a Titan's then you lose that rarity feel and anyone can become an Anarchy / Rossi / <insert l33t player name>. I like the open-ness of UO and giving everyone the ability to have a Titan's would diminish that effect. Thus, I believe the decision should not be about accessibility.
