From my point of view, it had nothing to do about the difficulty or the drop rate of the task, but was rather motivated by the performance of the players who acheived it. Yep, with one Cu Sidhe (and 5 nobles shortly after) and crafted armor and weapons, the first players completing this Mage Inquisitors Quest were both crazy and performant at hunting.+Colibri wrote:This is because there were players who were able to complete the whole even almost once a day, while it was meant to be a big challenge to get even one or two items for yourself.
An alternative was decreasing the spawn rate, though it's pretty low already, and making it any lower would really show the randomness effect more frequently (even if it's a 10% chance on a drop, you may be one of the unlucky ones who kill the monster 30 times and doesn't get a single drop).
Ho, and for thoses who wonder what this has to do with doom scripters leveling their weapon with script, the thing is that I have been asking for adjustments for almost 2 years regarding the weapon leveling system. I beleive that harder monsters should give more xp than a lich that I can kill in one shot.
It is bad because I feel like speaking up here makes me an outcast and a target while all I am asking is to be able to interact with my Excelsiorian fellows in an environment where I can do tasks that are stimulating and challenging for the vet player that I am without being penalized for the fact that I can do advanced things.
Anyway I hope you all have a good day and it will be a pleasure to see you all in game.
