Thinking of a Zombie Appocolyptic Event

I was sitting here talking to some of my friends about the Zombie take over and thought hey that would be a fun thing to go over on the shard. I thought that maybe since the world is all about fighting the zombies and the Gms are all about fun it could work out well. I have a basic idea of how i would work it and i think it could be great fun to go through, but would it be popular? How many people would actually partake in it? So i know this isnt just some random party favor Post below if you would join in; Maybe we can make this a reality

I came to the thought that it could be a defend the town much like we did on the +V event having to do with the 300 event only we didnt defend the town we attacked the group. Only this time were going up against the undead like zombies and liches. I mean, it could be a group idea, but not forced, like we choose the party we work with and then that group works together. If you get taken out and die, you can now do like a PVP thing where you start to work for the army or i mean if thats too much maybe not, but if we set it up to work in like brit it could be a take over of the undead against us. Like a war to me that sounded fun and its worked out rather well in past events i think, im not sure i really didnt partake in those but i mean still fun. We could dress in normal clothes, use bandages with no spells like most of the other events, pets maybe.. depending on how a GM chooses to work it, but its a good basic idea. I am sure that they could go somewhere with it, i hope. its hard to really know. I mean we have like Nemesis from the Resident evil series and he can be our big bad boss.. but i mean thats just for an idea. im sure thats a good start.

well i like the idea,
you could even add (levels,rounds) to it, like when we did protect the civilian event with +V, like first only zombies, then you get mummys, then liches,liche lords,rotting corpses, so on so forth.

Well first off i dont think you have to worry about how many people like the idea, pretty much anyone online at the time of an announced event is going to be there unless they know they dont have the time to finish it or whatever. Regardless of what it is about there is almost always a big pack at events, even for small ones like Nyx's storytime.

Secondly, I think they are working on alot right now. Not only is Fel Brit being fortified for "an eventual assault" but the holidays are right around the corner which is gonna bring another grand auction and whatever slaughterfest they decide to add to it. And the umbri's camp has been being worked on as well. So all I'm saying is, as much as I would like to have more events, Im not going to count on it because they've got their hands full already.

Yea thats true, they are rather booked up on the whole shard i suppose i didnt think of that when i sat down and got to thinkin gabout the whole idea. The good thing is that they can put this on the list of other things for future ideas. I mean +V loves a good slaughter and +hina is all about the mass suicide of self preservation i mean she did create the pumpkin patch and im hoping she brings back the grinch that was too much fun not to. guess like many others ill just have to wait my turn

I like the idea of a zombie apocalypse type event, but as Riddlebox pointed out, we're all quite busy with other projects lately. It's an idea I'd be interested in working on after the new year, when other things have been dealt with and finished.

im sorry +Nyx, to be completely honest, i dont really pay attention to who all host the event, as to what i can do 2 avoid dyeing a billion times in the event, rather keep it down to about 20 times a event , but yes thank you for all you do, and im sorry i didnt give credit where credit was due ;(

YAY! i am glad that its a good idea. And im sorry that you guys are so busy the good thing is that we all understand the whole thing. Working on the shard isnt something that just happens on its own and for that you have my great thanks to all of the Staff. I do enjoy every little game we play and the events as well. its like a second home to me with friends and the family. I am also glad i could help come up with a good idea, it would actually be a good time to set it then, nothing like welcoming the new year with a Zombie take over i think that would actually rock as a time frame or whenever but still. So glad i thought of it, use it as you need it, i just wanted to know if it was a good one i get a little self conscious about things like that, ive had a few good ideas for events but was always to scared to say something on it cause you guys always seem to already have one planned so let them pass, however it was just too good to pass this one over. Especially since everyone says things about how they have a zombie plan and everything. Guess its a good way to see how they would fair.. As for that event i didnt partake in that one so im sorry i cant say how awesome it was. I did 300 and hogwarts, hinas patches and a few holiday themed ^.^ and loved everyone of them!

it reminds me kinda of the lvl ur weapon event that was held a while back where zombies liches and the undead such over ran the island of serpants hold in fel, it was a fun event where players of all lvls wearing there own gear went in and were completely overrun, no pets were aloud which was good and everyone had a good time. sure players died but the res and corp stones were placed for cheaper prices and it let us lvl a couple of times too, i was still young and weak but when me and another player started working together we both made great strides. id love to see that random event happen more often

hmm a very similar one to the one you described was held not too long ago by +Chaos, only it was in tram and it was in bucs den hehe. Was kinda unsettling at first cuz he only breifly mentioned by saying something like "i sense an evil presence on an island" and continued to hint at a few locations. as soon as you went to bucs though your entire screen was filled with liches, skeles, etc etc. After a huge slaughter of undead he spawned "The Lord of Death" which did indeed live up to its name. Was great fun for the 10 minutes or so it lasted and i would love to see more miniature ones like this in the future.

a long long time ago in a shard far far away. so long ago it was about 1998 someone came up with a brilliant idea of a spawn on a free shard. mobs of monsters attacked ya and at the end was an end boss. this idea was looked at with such praise that osi/ea decided to implement it in the actual game. thus, they called it a champ spawn. isn't that what your asking for.... in reality?

well not exactly anarchy, i was not really asking it to be a champ spawn. I was thinking more like the whole idea of protect the citizen kind of thing only you protect yourself and a group of people. at least it wasnt supposed to be like a champ spawn as i saw it. of course its the shard Gm of choices opinion how to take the idea and use it. I was hoping that it was more like over run the town and junk.. like in fel trinsic only with more overwhelming herds of undead and more death involved.. guess in a way that is kinda like a champ though :/
