Winter Holiday event!

Post by +Mocha »

It is that time of year!
The event is designed to be fun, there are multiple levels BUT, and this is important folks!
Once you complete a level you will get a reward based on that events difficulty. The rewards are different for each level and you will only be able to receive one major reward so it is important you choose the level that is right for your skills and gear. Once you complete a level you can not receive another levels prize. So advanced players should do the advanced one. None advanced players should do the normal one and newer players there is an easier level one for you all.

The good news is the event can be done more than once with other minor prizes handed out.
The event should be ready to open on 12-11-11 that's CST, and will continue through mid January as an open at any time event.

There are a few rules, the gathered items will be account bound, so no farming them to sell.
I ask that you do not bring pets to the event as it is not designed to be a uber kill all fest. All the creatures can be and should be killed solo with either magery or melee.

The object will be to kill the bad guys, gather the objects and turn them in for rewards.
Updates will be posted as needed.

Now for the big question, where is the event and how do we play?
Inside the ice cave in trammel there is a green and red gate take that to the winter event.
Once there you must work your way through the maze to find the areas.
To play simply grab a gem at the level you want to compleate and use it to target the bodies of the monsters you have killed!!

I hope everyone has fun and has a wonderful holiday!

Just so the rules to the event are very clear . :D
No pets!
Kills must be solo or your monster will not drop the collection items.
I have zero tolerance for trolling so please do not hit other peoples kills, if the spawn is to slow for the amount of people please page and I will adjust them accordingly.

No area effect spells or weapons as it will interfere with other peoples kills.
Mostly I just want this to be FUN for everyone so if you can kill the higher monsters please leave the lower ones for the younger players, they deserve a chance to.

Remember to insure/bless all items, items lost due to death will NOT be replaced. So if you lose connection and die your items will still be there for you when you come back!

The lower reward for the players who kill the lower monsters will receive and piece of gear that is suitable for them at their level.
The average player who kills the mid level monsters will receive a piece of gear suitable for them.
The advanced players with it in mind that many of you have re-layers will receive an advanced piece of gear.

Remember the reward you get is based on the difficulty of which battle field you choose!
Not your skills , age etc.

You will not be able to farm items from the lower monsters and get higher gear, so please choose the field that is a challenge to you to get the highest reward you can get with your skills.

Rewards are as follows.

For the players who choose the lowest level field to collect their items on will get.

A Snow Dusted Robe, this is an item with 20% LRC, 75 luck and plus 10 to thier str bonus.

For the players who kill the average/mid level range monsters your reward will be...

Ice Apron, this item has a hit point increase of 10, luck 75, hit point regeneration of 2 and plus 5 str.

The advanced players since many of you have relayers you get a choice between 2 items, one is a mage item the other a fighter item...choose carefully as you can only get one or the other.
Remember you must kill the hardest monsters to get these.

Fighter item is... A Glittering Ice Wrap. This item has defence 20% dex bonus 10, faster cast recovery -1, hit chance increase 15%, hit point increase of 20, intel decrease of -20, luck 100, stam increase of 20, and str increase 10, reflect physical damage of 33%.

The mage item is...

Now Dusted Earrings, faster cast recover 2, faster casting 1,hit point -20,intel bonus 10,luck 100,mana increase 20, mana regeneration 5, spell damage increase 25%.

There are several little collectible items that are also given each time you do the event, but remember you can only get one piece of gear and it will be account bound. So choose your area wisely!
I will not list the collectibles since they are just fun items for all of you and I like surprises!
On a side note these fun items will be given randomly when you turn in the collection items, they will not be account bound so people will be able to trade, this means you may get doubles of an item etc, there is no limit to how many times you can do the event. So happy hunting!

What slot is the ice wrap?

Edit: Just wondering if it is going to be the cloak slot. Anyone with more than 1 relayer most likely has a cloak relayer already. Seeing as you will most likely NEED a relayer to get the top tier items, why make it a slot that almost every player has filled already? (If it is a cloak item, that is. Sounds like its a pair of boots to me :P )

Sounds like an apron slot to me. Think, "wrap", like I wrap the towel around my waist.

Is it safe to assume that the Advanced level would be only for players with relayers?

I already have a relayered robe, as do quite a few others. Guess we could always drop 200ed to put it where we want it. Still think half apron would be better.
