Heart of Excelsior [♥♥♥] will host it's first auction

Hello Excelsior citizens.

Heart of Excelsior [♥♥♥] will host it's first auction next friday at 19.00 east coast time (1.00 shard time). The event will take place at Heart of Excelsior [♥♥♥] guild house, wich you can access thru the world teleporter in the "shops" section.

Everyone can submit their items for the auction. To do so, you will need a pouch and a book. In the pouch, place the items you wish to submit and a book in wich you will have written the name of the submitted items. Once this is done, PM me in game (Cyrano De Bergerac). I personally take responsability for the security of all items that I receive. I have been playing UOEX for more than 3 years and I am thrustworthy.

Here are the rules for the auction:

1. There will be a 10% commission fee for every item sold at the auction.
2. There is no reserve price. To protect the submiters items, auction is cancelled if less than 20 players are attending.
3. Bidding increaments are to be at least 10% higher than the previous bid. Example: player 1 bids 10000 gold, next player needs to bid 11000 for his bid to be valid. Invalid bids will be ignored.
4. Submited items are not guaranteed to be presented at the auction. If some/all of your submited items are not presented, you will get them back right after the auction.
5. The players who have submitted items will receive their gold and/or unsold items within the hour following the end of the auction.
6. No pets, no casting, no crafting, no emotes, no spamming while the auction is going. Offenders will receive one (1) warning and will be banned from the auction on the second infraction.

A Grand Auction is a GM run auction to alleviate shard inflation with GM items in it.

This is a Player Auction run by players, hosted by the Hearts guild. Don't try to trump up attendance by misrepresenting your auction. If you sell good stuff, people will come.

It may CONTAIN GM created items such as deco made by GMs that a player bought and wants to re-sell, but it's still a player auction with the money coming from players and going to other players.

We have been informed of your concern regarding this question and I have changed the word "grand" for "grandiose" in our public announcement to avoid any misunderstanding. I am the author of that message and my idea was not to mislead the players but to say that it's going to be fun/big/better than the daily routine. I would have thought that mentionning the guild name [♥♥♥] would make it clear that it's not a staff event.

I hope that this is going to be a fun event for all and by no mean am I looking to trick players into anything.
