Deco question

Post by lestatzero »

+Coli,
I am trying to follow a tutorial online to do some stuff deco stuff and not sure if this is a feature you can add or if you took it away for a reason to start with.

http://uo2.stratics.com/homes-and-decor ... ne-kitchen

I was trhing to use the interior decorator tool to raise the mat's as the instructions said and on Ex you can't do it...

Just wondering ... Thanks in advance.

If you can send me a note in game that would be super

Ok, if memory serves, you were trying to make stairs! Sorry but that doesn't work on this shard, you cant raise or even use the deco tool on deeded items, so no stairs, no chemney made of small forges and so on. The way to do the stairs you want is by using the yard wand, in one of the menus you will find the stairs and its just a question of buiding it and having ennough funds to build them (yard wand cost a %$#@?%#& to use). Good luck ^^

Funny thing is after writing my reply i thought of the counter tops ^^. So no, you cant use gozas to break deeded items, too bad cause i have a few ideas that will never happen! Still, if your interested, i can make a kitchen using the yard wand thats even better than the counters you tried making!

my whole issue is the yard wand is just way to expensive to use. I would rather use conventioanl means of crafting things and decorating via use of things i can make. if the yard wand tiles cost the same amount as they do in the acutal creation of a house then it would not be so bad... but at 30k a tile it s not worth it... I am not that big on going out and killing things to get gold so my methods of getting gold are going out and mining / chopping wood / etc ... so im not able to get 30k killing 1 or 2 mobs it takes a good solid hour just to make a good 100k mining ... which is all fine and dandy but paying the cost that s asscoiated with the yard wand is not what i want... I will just go with out rather than doing that and stick with more conventiaonl decorations ... It just limits my ablity to be crative.

Yes it is expensive, but you do get your money back when you remove the yard wand deco. If you are into mining, get a play ore runebook and a gargoyle pickaxe and farm plat tinker kits, [pm Quasar when you have some, like 100 would be nice. I'll pay well

I have no desire to attempt to kill spawns that popl up from using the G P A... I don't have the skills to do so and don't want to train at / a l / vetinary / all up just to be able to do them ... that s my 0nly dislike regarding the shard is that pricing of things to do deco are so high... but it is what it is... I will stick with more traditional methods of decorating my house with what is avl to be made and live with it... I like the people on the shard so its worth the safrafice...

Not everyone enjoys farming gold or battling monsters, that's the beauty of this game, there is something for everyone.

Check out Shady Lady's house, she has done lots of cool things with regular items, might get some ideas from there.

I don't blame you for not wanting to farm kits, I can kill them, but I can't be bothered. Hmmmm, have you looked into doing bees? It's tedious work and not for everyone, but you can make about a mil a week I believe.

Either way, I'm glad you are enjoying the shard. Good luck!
