Hello all
im sorry to say im jailed for a week ill miss everyone not sure if ill be back take care and be well in ur lives and travels not sure if il be back :(i got pushed to my edge and for over reacting im truely sorry a whole week alittel steep for some one that has never been jail in the 787 days on shard, if all my friends could post something about my character maybe coli will forgive me im am usally very kind to players and ALWAY do what i can to help everyone

I miss SnapOn Tools, good-hearted player for the most part. I've seen past instances of anguish but who wouldn't be after going through chemo and cancer meds?
Although I am unfamiliar with the severity of the offense, rules are rules and thus actions must have consequences for order to prevail. A week of jail may definitely be steep, but again we must rely on the judgement of the staff to determine the appropriate punishment. Perhaps +Coli would re-consider and lighten the sentence.

Snapon is a fine upstanding young man. I surely don't want u to leave, or to have to spend a week in jail. You're one of the guys who made the shard go around.

Once again...
Staff do not enjoy these kind of matters. It is our job to keep the peace. If someone harasses a player, they are talked to. If someone threatens a player, they are talked to. If someone continues to threaten and harass a player even after being warned by a staff member, they are talked to again. If a staff member asks for any piece of information or shred of supporting evidence that they could use to see their point of view, and is flat out denied such evidence, then it has to be considered that there is no such evidence. If a player continues to send PMs to staff that indicate that they have no interest in putting the matter to rest, then what is that staff member suppose to do? Release and hope for the best?
You have no idea what happens during these encounters. You can speculate and theorize all you want, but in the end you have to assume there is reason for how things played out. You have to assume that since half the shard isn't posting hate threads on this forum, that we are doing our jobs at the very least, adequately. And...in cases where players feel the need to bring the situation to the forum...you have to wonder how it got to the jailing in the first place.
How many times have YOU been jailed? And if you were...was it just?

Well someone had to push you to get you to Snap, but Snapon is and always has been a great resource for young and veteran players alike, hate to see him in jail for a week

1 time in jail, and completely un-just. Out of respect I don't bring it up or share the experience with others, I’m surprised you or any staff would look to bring this up.

I said "think about it" , not "post it". Obviously I'm not asking you to post details. It was a request to reflect. I asked this knowing that the majority of people who have received jail time understand why they got it and accept that they were in the wrong. Of course, there are always the others...

I just have one thing to say. Snap dont even consider not coming back, please... You add so much to the shard that this would make probably the whole community sad. I didn't even get what happened but things will pass and we are still going to enjoy playing ! So please dont even think about it

SnapOn, asking players to post in your favor in an attempt to reduce or eliminate your sentence is not okay. It is just a form of refusing to accept responsibility for one's actions. All of us on staff hope sincerely that rather than further trying to and get out of your jail time you will instead spend the time reflecting on the behavior and actions that landed you there in the first place. We also hope that you will come out of it with a better respect for the rules of this shard, and what playing here means to you, so that these actions and behaviors will never be repeated again. We do not enjoy handling these kinds of issues, nor do we lie in wait for a chance to jail more players. Quite the contrary. These issues are unpleasant, stressful, and take us away from the things we would much rather be doing - such as working on new content or events.
It is one thing to say that any given staffer is acting out against a player. It is ludicrous, as nobody currently on staff does that (which is why we remain on staff); but sadly we hear it all the time. However when Colibri is the one handling it, then it should be clear that the issue has been looked into, discussed, thought over, and decided upon carefully. Absolutely no one on this shard gets to be exempt from the rules, regardless of their character or what they do for others. If rules are broken, then punishment is given. If the rules are broken severely or compounded by multiple offenses, then a severe punishment is given. That goes for any player, at all times.
Bottom line is, we staff here because we love this shard, and dealing with these issues or hearing that we're playing favorites/cheating/singling out certain players/abusing our power etc etc etc... it gets really old, and it makes us wonder why we volunteer our time to better the shard in the first place. We on staff are, every single one of us, good people who are kind, fair, and have morals. Believe me when I tell you that we are not exempt from the rules, but instead are held to an even higher standard than the players we serve and if we were doing anything we should not be doing, we would be removed promptly. So if we are forced to punish you for something you have done, please try to take it with a little bit of grace and understand that we're just doing our job.

Reading and it seems like this is getting serious.
But I would like to note that Snapon has not denied his wrongdoing, in fact he has acknowledged it. Also I do not think this is an instance where a player felt they were being singled out. However, I do agree that it is not appropriate to get special treatment regardless of account age. It may be contradictory, but I do think a permanent ban on a long-term player definitely warrants discussion among staff since (pardon if I'm twisting your words +V) the player is likely not a" trouble making passer-by" and more likely "someone who just wants to play here and have fun."

I'm replying out of respect of Snapon Tools, from out battles and bonds together were always fun and never to be forgotten. A person truly caring for others.
However, I do agree on +V about posting your issues publicly without evidence. I can not side to either parties, since there is no detail to review and to be honest, I DONT want to know the story. There is a difference here of justice and fairness obviously.
To both side, I just hope they both study any trends and possiblities of such claim. If both side feels there is or isnt any such trend, than they can move on. Moving on by making sure events wont happen again or to not allow it to bother you.
to Snapon, I know its been building up inside of you of what was occuring. Since it bothered you that, be proud that you stood up for yourself and accept the conquences. Because of what you did, you brought Great light to the issues to the entire shard. Because when our Peers tell us something we listen. And as a indivudual, we can see things for ourselves.
To the staff, as staff you are more guardian of the shard. Your decisions are to be taken as finally. But as a person, we know not everyone will agree; it comes with the job. We are all human.
