You could trash them in your token trashbag and collect tokens for them.

Tokens can be used for great things or can be sold on Excelsior Exchange.

An example of this would be a weapon leveling deed and let's imagine you leveled that weapon to 100 to sell

it would far outweigh any paltry amounts of gold an NPC could generate.
