If you're experiencing a problem with your UO window disappearing when you log in, here's how you fix it.
Hover your mouse over the UO window in the taskbar until it brings up a small menu ABOVE the taskbar. It will say Ultima Online, your character name, and have a red 'x' to the right.
Hover your mouse over this new window over the taskbar. Right click and select "move".
Move your mouse 3/4 of the way up your screen and then click.
This should make your window visible again, and you can resize it from there.
Please note, this often takes numerous tries to get it right! When I had this problem it took me about a dozen before it worked. Sometimes you might need to try a combination of "minimize", "maximize", and "move" to get the screen back.
Hope this helps!

Another shortcut I have used for this is to select the UO window in the taskbar and press the windows key and the up arrow key simultaneously. :]
Re: If your UO Window "disappears" when you log in:
if you alt-tab and your UO screen freezes, dont restart. Look at the bottom right and open up your Sound Equalizer/Mixer, the little speaker guy next to the clock. Whenever I open this, not only does it immediately fix UO, it prevents it from happening again.
