Does anyone else think the massive inflation is due to the ridiculous amount of $ you make from fricking beekeeping? In my opinion having your main source of income come from beekeeping doesn't fit the game at all. 1 million/week is way too much! :verymad: I guess if you can't beat them join them.

Tested 30 beehives for some time:
number of fails per day: 8 7 8 7 7 4 4 9 6
So, average 6.6 fails per day.

I'm having bee issues. I currently have 10 bee hives at my house.
5 are at 70 days of age, 100k in bees and thriving but for the past week have not been producing any honey or beeswax.
I always give them 2 GA potions and 1 of the others if needed. I cannot figure out what's happening. As I said they are all thriving, all have water & plants. Up til the last week they produced wonderfully. Any suggestions?

Make sure that the character that puts the potions on is the character that owns the house where the hives are located. If it is a different character, even a different character on the same account, the hives won't produce that day.

I am a co-owner of the house and have been since the bees were put into place and the problem just started during this past week. So I don't think that's the issue? :?

About the bees, sort of a long story...
Way back, there was a request to make them possible to be accessed by co-ownes and friends of the house, in case one goes to vacation for a few days so that a friend can take care of the bees. Worked nice, but the problem was that this started to be abused more and more. There's been players who have taken care of numerous friend's houses, sharing the profit... and well that by itself isn't a problem, but it got way too much gold into the economy.

One solution discussed was that the friend and co-owner access would be disabled, but there would be a deed or somesort of an item with which bees could be put into hibernation. But instead I have made a simpler solution, that is, if the owner takes care of them they will work as normal, but if someone else does it, they are "disturbed by the strange person", and although they stay alive (as it should be if you're on vacation), they will not produce.

It wasn't announced because I wanted to see how many people did this. And as we already knew before, there's been several people who had been co-ownered to a "friend's" or "roomate's" house ... but all the roommate did was create the account and placed the house so that bees could be in it. So basically it was a form of multi-accounting to cheat the limit.

Another approach was to slash the prices on bees, but I figure it's quite fun to do them (as long as the limit is in place, before that people had hundreds of hives, bringing in lots of gold, all done with a simple click of the "play macro" button).

I have two chars on my account, one char owns one house and the other char owns the second house. I have to have the correct character take care of the bees in the house he actually owns. If the other character does the potions in the bees of the house that is not his those bees won't produce. This was changed at the begin of the year as per the change log entry listed above. The reason for this was so that co-owners and friends of a house could not benefit from taking care of someone elses bees.

Therefore, if you are not the actual owner of the house, you will not gain any honey and wax from doing the potions.

Ok, something on a different note. I have 25 hives at 100k, 109 days of age and all are getting "-" for both poison and disease every day. Tried using GS (1, 2 or none) and it changed nothing, so I ask - is this a feature of old hives (wiki mentions that older hives get sick more easily) or am I doing something wrong? I use 7 flowers and 3 water BTW.

I am just starting this beekeeping thing and something occurs to me. I always favor the marble home with the deck and it comes with champoin flowers and poppies. I don't imagine they count as flowers for the beehives, but just wondered if anyone knew for sure. Thank you guys for ll this information on here, it has been quite helpful, especially the profit margins.

My bees are 52 days old and I am still waiting for any hive to produce a second full output of 255 units of wax. They have been properly maintained and are at the peak of their performance. How long does it take to produce a second batch?
