Razor issues

Post by Jupiter »

I have no idea what im doing when it comes to computer know-how. I can log in just fine when i downloaded the pre-patch packet, and thats how im playing, but i can seem to play the game through razor. I enter the right address, but after i enter my username and password, i can click on the Excelsior shard, then it freezes during the next loading page....The only thing i cant think of, is that the last shard i played on was a higher client then this one. But i have no idea how to change such things...Help a Luddite out!

One of your biggest issues with razor is that it looks for UO only in c:\program files\ultima online. If you used the prepatched client then your UO directory may be your desktop and the folder may be Ultima Online - Excelsior. Now you can reload the UO client(uninstall the old one first) and change the save in spot to be c:\program files and then once its loaded rename the Ultima online folder from Ultima online -Excelsior to just Ultima Online and that should fix the razor issue. Or you can customize Razor to see you existing UO directory. I believe there are directions here on the forums somewhere on how to do that. Hope that helps.

Click browse next to the uo data directory, and direct it at the excelsior client folder.
