The "Crawling" Dead

Post by Ironbender »

Met with the Studio execs today about my "Crawl" on role for "The Walking Dead". Make-Up and Filming will take place tomorrow. Makeup from 6am-2pm (YES 8 HOURS of Make-up! Ugggg) And then Filming from 2pm -10pm. I asked about pictures and they said that they do not allow "Walk on Actors" to bring Cell Phones, Cameras, allowed during filming. (Due to security, and privacy reasons.) I was told though that they hire a photographer to take pictures for the studio, and I have already requested that if any capture me, I would like copies E-Mailed to me. (Once the studio has approved them for public release.)

Wish me luck that my "Proformace" wont end up on the floor of the editing room, and hopfully the make-up won't be to heavy so that I wont have a ton of people wondering if that really is me. lol

Will post another update tomorrow once I get back to the Hotel.

That's so awesome! I'd love to be zombified for The Walking Dead... It's one of my favorite shows. Good luck to you! It sounds like with the hours you'll be working, you're going to feel like a zombie by the time you're done. :P

Have that photographer snap before/after pics, or maybe a sequence of pics of your transformation, if you can. I love it when they have that kind of stuff on The Talking Dead.

Good luck! I'm a huge fan of the show. Looking forward to your episode.

if you get a chance check out the video game "the walking dead" there is little to no action. it's a choose your own adventure move/game. it's cool if you like this show.

Update: HAD A Blast! Granted sitting in a make-up chair for nearly 6 and a half hours is far from exciting, but afterward it was fun. Can't give details about the filming other than to say the scene I was filmed in envolves two of the major characters of the story. One of which gets to kill me in a rather unusal way.

I wasn't allow to bring a camera of my own, so I didn't get to bring home any pictures, but they have a studio photograher on site during filming who takes stills for the studio. I gave him my address in the hopes that any of the photos he took of me (either those while in the make-up chair, or those during filming) are 'cleared for the public' he will send me copies.

Once I get them, I'll be happy to post them.

And as far as the Walking Dead Video game, yes, I've played it, and look forward to future episodes. I generally prefer games with a bit more action, but since I'm a huge fan of the show, I will play it out and at least enjoy it for the storyline.
