Game keeps losing connection.

Not sure if this is the right area to post.
Running windows 7, 64bit. This is my gaming laptop. No hardware issues.
My game keeps dropping connection. Its not a matter of "if" but "when". I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled, added to firewall. No antivirus messing with it. I even installed without Razor just in case that was the cause.
The weird thing is my other laptop plays just fine and never disconnects.
I'm looking for anyone else who has had these problems and what they did to fix it.

Been having the same issues the past 2-3 days myself with connection issues. I'm running on a much different system.

Maybe its a router issue. But nothing else is affected. I also have the same internet at work where my other laptop is and no issues there.

Kaign, I have the same issue and so does my brother. He says it is a bandwith thing.


On the old shard I played in I'd be in the middle of fighting an enemy and I'd get a connection lost message.

Do you get the same message?

I think it is just an internet issue.

I thought it might be the internet, but i have the same internet at work and it stays connected just fine. I am pretty sure its something in either my router or laptop that keeps dropping the connection for just long enough to disconnect me.

Are you running a macro or script during this time? That could cause the disconnections.

Nope. I even tried to load the game without razor. Still disconnects

I am starting to think it is my wireless hub. Although i have it connected via lan cable. Maybe i just have a cheap hub and need to upgrade.

I have the same issue and my connection is very good, my cpu too . Other game work really well, dunno if its with this server

I used to have similar problem when I was on DSL. I switched to cable and and no dc's since, unless I become inactive which is another issue. I found that my internet speed varied to much on DSL and drop below 2mps though my plan had me for 5. Once below 2, dc's happened. Even though the phone system was fiber optics up to my neighborhood, the neghborhood was all wires and switchboxes and all at least 30 years old. I had a phone technician come out and he found where I was constantly being rerouted throughout my neighborhood though the nearest shwitchbox was only 2 blocks away. Bottom line, the more your signal has to travel, more speed loss, hit a certain point and either your modem or router cant handle the data flow and drops you off the game. Next time you get disconnected, do a speed test and see if that is the culprit. It was for me. If you are having dc's with cable then you may be in a high traffic area.
