New player question

My starter mount was blessed, it died and I failed to find it in time. It's been two days and it is still taking a follower spot, how can I find it or remove it to clear the spot?

Have you tried the Pet recall stone in Brit or if you are still young then there is one in the new player dungeon that I believe may be free.
