Hey, a new change i have seen since coming back was the new quest books, like the spring quest or summoning lady mel.
Great feature, however i can't help but think auto re-target after adding an item would be a good change? Originally clicking collect, targeting an item then having to re-click collect was pretty dull, especially for the spring quest where 20 items were being clicked during one point.
A quick fix for individuals is to make a macro which tries to click gumpbutton700, then bind it too a key. so now for example i just have to press alt+e to bring up a target icon from the collect button.
Failing that, a universal add for every eligible item by targeting your bag would be even better?
Just an idea sprung from one of the few things i have found annoying since re-joining. =)
(Sorry if this was a re-post)

Re: Quest books.
Its just natural, humans try to find a way, making things easier.
But for quests, it SHOULD be a bit difficult.
Otherwise, there is no sense for a quest.
Its always a bit tricky to find a way between making it possible
for evryone to attemp, new and old players
and making it intresting.
IMHO, for those questrewards, ppl should really need to "work" a bit.
The game is called Ultima Online, not Macro-evrything.

I welcome a bit of difficulty or work as you so put it, Repetitive clicking here then there 6 times in a row on the other hand isn't difficult, entertaining or interesting.Nightstarwolf wrote:Its just natural, humans try to find a way, making things easier.

Re: Quest books.
Its less intresting to let a macro or script do evrything
or just need one click to reach a goal.
The spring quest has a few small objectives and points
which keep ppl off from just rushing through.
- Spots in Ilsh, which can`t be reached by recall
- single clicking to collect
- small (and big) items to loot
All that is just ment to avoid ppl from rushing.
The goal should be "earned"...not just easily be taken.
As said...its tricky to create a quest, which is also possible
for new players.
But even if it is an easy one already, there is no need to make it more easy.
If you watch the rewards and how much they may be sellable later on,
a bit "work" is acceptable.

Re: Quest books.
is there a way to block or ignore people's posts on the forum, I'm tired of seeing just purely stupid posts by certain people.
