When fishing up the treasure from SOSs, a number of items can be fished up that have very little functionality outside of decoration. For some of these items, their lack of functionality is particularly frustrating, and I just throw them away.
For instance, I understand that on OSI, bone piles recovered from a shipwreck (and indeed skulls, pelvis bones, etc) can be cut up into bones that can be used in tailoring, the number varying by the size of the item cut, a random variable, etc. Also, barrel staves and unfinished barrels are fished up, but cannot currently be used to create barrels or kegs, nor can they be chopped up for their wood. Broken clocks cannot be made into working clocks using tinkering...
Pillows and paintings/portraits make good deco, and stools can be sat on (but not chopped up)...
Here's to hoping that some day these items won't all be fodder for my token bag anymore...
