Questions from a new player

First off to my crafting questions.
1. Where can I find special leathers?
2. What dif. kind of special leathers, boards and ores does exist?
3. How do you get the more powerfull runic hammers and sowing kits?

Now to the hunting questions
1. What are good mobs to hunt for magical gear with good enough stats to keep? I'm elder bard with a cu sidhe so most things can be killed
2. Tips on a few good spots for farming would be nice, and especially what to go for.
3. where can I buy a maxed out cu sidhe and how much do they cost?

General Questions
1. Who can sell me Crafters keys and toolhouses?
2. Is donations the only way to get a druid spellbook?
3. Which crafts are good enough to work here?

1. Special leathers the best way is to tame the mule from the Master of the Arts champ. There are a few creatures that, when carved, drop a few special leathers like polar, ice, and i think synthetic.
2. To get the list, simply open up a smithy hammer, and then you have the choice to select which material to craft for. You can do the same with a sewing kit (types of leathers) and a carpentry hammer (types of woods). I forgot exactly which ones there are.
3. Best way to get the runic tools is by digging up ore elementals, for that you will need a gargoyle's pickaxe, garg axe or garg knife. When digging or cutting wood with the axe or pickaxe you will spawn an elemental, which, will probably kill you at first sight, but when you kill it you will get the runic tools. Same with the leaters, but there you need to carve the corpse with the knife.

Hunting questions - i guess a player can give a few things on those

General
1.Crafters keys and toolhouse are craftable by tinkers with very high skills. You should check the vendor market at the Town Center, or ask in chat if anyone has them. If there's no way to craft or buy them, it's also possible to buy them with Excelsior Dollars.
2. We don't want the donation rewards to be exclusive to those that donate real money, that's why we keep pumping Excelsior Dollars into the economy. We sell them at auctions, on Excelsior Exchange (Exex on portal.uoex.net), and we give them out at events too. I'd like to remind everybody that we encourage trading ED for gold, that's why you can't directly buy ED with gold or gold with ED. If someone donates, they can also simply get ED in cash, which they can then sell to players who have Gold but seek ED.
3. Not sure what you mean by crafts, maybe someone else will know how to explain...

Ok then I got a few follow-up questions

1. Where do you get Gargs knife and Gargs axe? I'm guessing you get garg pickaxes from smith bods and the others from other bods, but that would prolly mean the bod system is redone here, so I dont know what to aim for in regards to bods.

2. Which monster are you supposed to kill with the garg knife to get special leathers?

I don't imagine getting runics are different from any other server really. You use gargoyle tools and have a chance of spawning an elemental of various materials. They will drop 50(or 25 ore) of the material they're made of, and a runic of the same type.

Garg knives won't really guarantee you good leathers. It's basically still a random chance. It's usually at least polar or above(at least on dragons). The best chance you have of getting higher end leathers and runics are from skinning other elementals with a garg. Honestly, they're a pain in the ass.

If you want to be self sufficient do all the crafting skills, I know what you're trying to ask, but I don't guess it's any different from other servers. As far as what is in demand, people buy all various kinds of stuff so there's no telling. Keys/Tool houses come from tinkerers, expect them to be expensive. The success rate isn't good, I usually attempt them for free if someone has materials, if I make them they're going to be 50-100k at minimum for the easy one. And 150-200k+ for the harder ones.

And yes I do try to be self sufficient in the future, but I only just joined this saturday which means at first I'm trying to get a good LRC suit and some gold to work on necro, magery and chivalry, then its tailoring and after that a shitload of gargoyle farming

Another place to find gargoyle items are in random dungeon treasure chests. Most of my knives and axes came from them.
