Where to go:
Various citizens of Mistvale have taken up residence in a large building outside of Excelsior Halls. Take the Excelsior Halls teleporter, then run west along the path until you are outside of the city walls. The building is along the path. Step into the sparkles to be moved inside. Please note that only players over 21 days' account age and under 120 days of account age are able to / allowed to access this area. This includes all of the quests and dungeons.
The Quests:
There are currently 12 brand-spankin'-new quests, available only to young players. Say "Hail" to any of the quest NPCs to activate their dialogue.
- Mistvale Armaments - There is an entirely new armor set available via these 6 quests, a pre-goc set that should help young players with their progression. Speak to Thaddeus along the west wall of the building to get started. You can only run one of the Armaments quests at a time, so you'll need to select one, finish it, and then begin the next. There are 6 total quests in the Armaments line. The rewards are 'on display' - they are being worn by each of the Armaments quest NPCs. NOTE: If you begin one of these quests and decide to start over, speak to Thaddeus. Don't just delete the quest book or you'll become stuck. Alternately, if you can't get any of the upstairs NPCs to talk to you, you probably already deleted a book and are now stuck, so speak to Thaddeus to fix that. - The Reaper of Souls - A non-repeatable quest for a 3x40 weapon (on display near Hastings)
- The Sash of Fog - Non-repeatable quest for a nice sash (on display near Hastings)
- The Cloak of Mist - Non-repeatable quest for a very cool cloak (on display near Hastings)
- Mistvale Apiculture - A repeatable quest to assist young players with the upkeep of their bees.
- Monster Contracts - This quest is highly dynamic. You will receive a contract to kill a specific type of monster. If you complete that quest book before it decays, you will receive another contract that is slightly harder. You can complete up to 4 books per week. Each book decays after 2 days. Each book you turn in will result in a reward of gold, increasing with the difficulty of the contract. This quest is randomized, meaning that from week to week the monsters you need to kill will change. ALL monsters needed for EVERY contract spawn inside the 5 young-player dungeons. This quest can be completed in tandem with the Armaments, Sash, Cloak, and Reaper quests. The quest is repeatable every 7 days.
- Mistvale Merchantile - Assist Mistvale's foremost merchant and receive an item bless deed. This quest can be repeated every 2 weeks.
The Dungeons:
To access any of the new dungeons, step into the sparkles along the North wall of the Safe Haven building. You will be teleported into a nearby building that holds gates to each dungeon. Click on the gate to find out the name of the dungeon. All mobs in every dungeon give bonus weapon XP, currently 1.5x higher than their regular counterparts. This will likely be raised to 2.5x once I'm sure the areas are functioning properly.
- Aelwic - This dungeon utilizes the empty duplicate of the Citadel in Magda and spawns mostly undead and evil mages.
- The Forgotten Crypts - Using the Fan Dancer's dupe, this dungeon is nearly all undead, including a few balrons.
- Nimre - In the Labyrinth dupe, Nimre is primarily undead and elementals, it also holds several balron spawns.
- Nameless Ruins - In the Bedlam dupe, this one houses undead.
- The Thilon Mines - Mainly features elementals, hell hounds, and hell cats.
Oh, and did I mention...
The Rares:
There are approximately 45 new stealable rares spread across the 5 dungeons. After extensive searching the shard to see if any of these graphics were owned by players, I found that only 2 of these rares had ever been in player possession, and only on very old accounts. So, pretty much everything that the young players can steal from the dungeons is something that no player, veteran or otherwise, has. I'm hoping this will improve newbie-veteran relations as well as give the young'ins another route for sales. Below is a small sampling of the available rares. I'll leave it to all you young players to find out what else is available, where everything spawns, and how often

Fair Warning:
If we find that an older player has purposefully gained access to any of these areas - the safe haven, the dungeon building, or any of the individual dungeons themselves - there will be dire consequences to be determined at that time. Let's just say... Pain. Lots of Pain.

I'm sure there are details I'm forgetting this late at night, but I finally finished everything and wanted to get it open right away!
I very much hope that our young players will enjoy these quests and dungeons and that things will slowly start to improve overall as a result.
