breeding

Post by bcbunny »

I have done lots of reading on pet breeding.

I want to start some pet breeding but can't make up my mind what to breed, any suggestions?

I know it depends on weather I want pack, or no pack, man user, or not, magery or not etc etc.

But do you have a favourite? Do you have a suggestion on what I should/could start with? I do a lot of solo stuff, and use my mules that I bought. But would like to start my own of something!

Here are some breeding tips:

As far as what to breed... If you want to be like everybody else, breed mules and nobles. Nobles hit as hard as pretty much anything you can tame when used in a nice large pack. They're ridable but have no backpacks. Mules have poison immunity and backpacks.

Nobles are actually easier to breed -- It takes a while to get a pair to breed, like any strong pet, but they don't have far to improve from fresh tames before they're maxed, less than 2000 ability points. Mules need nearly 4000 and the last 2000 are hard with lots of "too strong to breed" messages.

Anything else? Just a question of style. For example, I recently maxed out a sheep breeding line because I'm going to try to encourage a resurgence of the humble shepherd play style. My sheep easily take down dragons and rune beetles. I'm also working on a line of Demonic Transgender Inbred Battle Cattle (Cows. No Bulls. Just Cows.) I'm up to 1950 of 2570 ability points needed to max.

Mules are long and drawn out to breed....But in the long run....Very worth it

I was always diaspointed that you couldn't breed chickens up to those levels.

Be nice to have good old fashioned cock fights.

For sure? I've never seen it mentioned anywhere; could you post a link? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if it was against server rules but, logically speaking, it would be frowned upon irl to run onto a farm and cut down a herd of cows, bulls, and sheep like ripe wheat with a sword too, yet that's perfectly legal here. Even skinning the corpses on the spot and leaving the carcass behind. Or traipsing through a city slaughtering every cat and dog you come across in the streets. Real-life analogies rarely hold water in this game.
