leather elementals

Ok, well i'm not sure if this should go under suggestions but (and i do not want a lot of people yelling at me for saying this) leather elementals are too hard, not to kill but to survive against, i've tried everything, hiding, standing far away, having a pet out, whenever an elemental spawns it is summoned right on top of me and does a 1 hit kill. i have 141 health, and max resists and this seems a little unfair that i cannot survive 1 hit from one of these guys. Sure an etheral elemental makes sense to be able to do this, but the only ones i can seem to survive against are frost(maybe polar whichever is the worst of the 2) and synthetic. anyone know how to survive?

Yeah, hah, it's kinda the point Just like wood elemental and ore elementals. BUT they are survivable, even though you may not see it now, when you get used to hunting them, and anticipate that one will pop out with each carving, you can become pretty quick

I usually stay on my mount, double click the knife, target the corpse, while high tailing it at the very next nano-second. And it works 90% of the time. You have a better chance if you're on your ethy or pet when it comes to the leather elementals.
