Screenshots from the shard
Re: Screenshots from the shard
randy the ooga booga is just a wandering creature. it does nothing but wander all over the world. kinda like a shard mascot or something... lots of other shards have similar things.

Re: Screenshots from the shard
:: Harry Potter 2015 ::
We start to go nuts in the waiting room, dressed like small pastel easter eggs. For some reason, we all form lines of ranks facing forward. Someone notices and everyone giggles. I start a mosh pit. A voice shouts, "So let me get this right... I just volunteered myself to join a simulation of lemmings funneled through a meat grinder?" I head-count ~90 (90!) before the gate shut and everyone gathered round to catch a glimpse of the evening hostess.

First stop, sorting hat: you choose your own. I go with Slytherin. Hey - the dark side gets to play, too.

We all stand around marveling at our bags of spells and wands. It's interesting how evenly we managed to distribute ourselves considering you cannot really see the current outcome from the choosing room (more reds appear...) Then... it opens. We run head on to:

(The one above is a reduced, but clicking on this link will open the full size:

That... was madness. I died about... 113 times. Ok, 82 times. Maybe 17 times. But you get the point. I don't know if I ever stood for longer than 6 seconds... Eventually, we SOMEHOW manage to clear that level, and we push our way into the castle:

Once the castle was clear we all gather by the gate to the roof. It's squished and people are farting. We're so crowded our toons have sort of Voltron'd into a tasmanian devil whirling about like a 3 year old shoved in a dog carrier after a healthy dose of chocolate.
I notice the candles... I wonder if anyone else does. I wonder how long it took to animate those to do that.

It is at this moment, that I realize, this is unreal for this shard. Here are 90 players forgetting their macho (or not so macho) WARRIOR selves... aiming sticks and shouting Corp Por like there's no tomorrow - and seeing how fun it is. Oh... the... glory... when we agree to play whatever way just to play together...

...and the beauty it leads to...

I try to catch a sort of who's-who effect with the names:

Sweet carnage...

The end of that rainbow. +N was pleased with our work, and gives us all a goodie bag. Lovely one of a kind artifacts and carefully sculpted, hued and properly titled bits of official UOEX Hogwarts candy. We all get fat and happy and sing her to sleep so she can dream up our next adventure.

Til next time!

Re: Screenshots from the shard
What a great post
I always forget to take screenshots in all the hub-ub, I'm so glad you did!

Re: Screenshots from the shard
I do have a question. One of the excellent screenshots captures the anomaly, in an Event where all the gear is provided for, who is casting druid spells, and how? Not trying to out anyone for breaking rules, just legitimately curious..
Re: Screenshots from the shard
One of the houses was provided with druid scrolls. We're going to remove the trees scrolls for future runs, and then tweak the mana regen on the gear/etc to make up for it.

Remember that scene from the Godfather...
A little disconcerting to log in to your normal spot and find a deceased llama at your feet...
6 year veteran. PM Xalvador in game if you need anything.
Re: Screenshots from the shard
Get used to it, people kill their llamas all the time here and just leave the corpses laying around.. Its like people here HATE maxis or something!

Wow that Hogwarts event looks amazing!
Re: Screenshots from the shard
This is the way to where I play: ⚛

In my mid-summer dream, my house is a temple treehouse, a sanctuary to all, without fences or doors,
where food grows abundant and is shared freely. ❤

In paradise, there would be, the fruit of every tree, ready and plenty any day.
In paradise, there would be, the star of every flower, dotting the path of every way,
to let you know how welcome and admired you are, that so many beings would go through so much trouble,
to be at their best and most beautiful for the chance moment you might happen by, and see.(̶◉͛‿◉̶)

In paradise, there is always room and a place to sleep, for any friend who comes, whenever they will,
no matter how long its been, or what terms they left on, or where they're heading next.
In paradise there is always the feeling of, ☼ "I am loved!" ☼
the feeling of, ☼ "I am blessed!" ☼
the feeling of, ☼ "I am home!"☼

I hope you enjoyed this visit and feel as inparadised in your dreams as I do in mine.
Kindly,
Eos ツ
