Newbie question.

Post by Shaiy Sunsinger »

So I am a warrior, got all my warrior skills to 100, got my stats all maxed out, so I've started doing dungeons, but one thing I have noticed is that I do fine in dungeons until I run into something casting magic, I get destroyed by magic, any advice on overcoming this hurdle?

I should note that my gear isn't really good as i have just started.

You are probably lacking resists, which should all be 70 or close to that. Explosion(fire) and energy bolt(energy) usually hit hardest.

Make sure your magic resist is maxed too!

MR definitely helps...I believe you can just cast magic arrow on yourself (macro it) and you'll GM it in no time.
Also that elusive 220 dex is something to strive for so you get instant bandaids. Combine that with Easy UO scripts and you'll be golden...but as you said you're new (welcome!) so I'd go after the MR first. :)

Best way to raise Magic Resist is to cast Clumsy on yourself, with Magic Arrow you may have to heal yourself. Clumsy just lowers your Dex.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'm working on my magic resist at the moment.

Hmm, so I should macro my spirit speak and my bandages together? Wasn't aware you could do that.

Liche form lowers your hp slowly so you probably could, just get a script to spam bandages and SS. So yeah, you probably can

What I did was raise my resist together with healing by using Razor to cast magic arrow on me and then using band aids on me if my HP was lower than 100%. It got my resist to 100 and healing close to it.
