Sell your house to claim your body

Ok this is getting ridiculous I don’t think it’s right to raise the amount to claim your body and pets just because some players have WAY to much gold. If you think there is to much gold in the game the one thing you can do to slow down the gold is not use “Bag of sending” make them walk all the way back to the bank, give out less gold and better treasure the one thing that sucks is we get a lot off monsters gold and other stuff Why not try you get some gold and one treasure. I’m sure you can see there is way to much treasure when you loot.
All your doing is making it hard for new players to get stuff and keep it and not just the newbie’s I don’t play to see how much gold I can save up I play to have fun and venture. I can tell you that the first time I die and need to claim my body and pets that will be the last time I play there I’m not going to waste my time playing in fel just to die and lose what I had just got. There so no way I will pay that

How many times do we have to tell people this? Its cheaper then using the corpse stone and you can afford it if you take the time to kill some monsters and save the gold. Treasure is not an issue either. If you don't feel like looking through it use the [claim command and it all gets turned to gold. Problems solved. Now go kill some orcs and save some money.. We were all new and your situation isn't unique

Not everyone can chill out 60,000+ gold and not everyone goes out to kill kill kill. There is a problem with to much gold in the game that’s why the made it weigh more to slow down the gold, when some chills out 22mil for items that don’t do anything but look good right there tells you there is to much gold that someone pays that much.

ive never seen anyone pay 22mil for anything. Once again if you dont want to put time in to get enough gold to insure your items..then you shouldnt be going places where you die.. I think the economy on the shard is balanced. You need to stop pointing fingers and make gold.

First and foremost the corpse stones are a perk of the shard. Does OSI have these?
Why would you complain about an added feature that is there as a last resort?
My advice take it or leave it would be to either hunt where you know you can Ankh rez if you aren't strong enough to survive the area. Or if you die and cant Ankh rez Ask for help in chat. I for one have never asked for help and not gotten it. I have even dropped a champ to run to others aid when they needed it.
I have plenty of gold to use the stone but wont unless its a last resort.

The game is not balanced are you blind to that fact. It has nothing to do with “insuring” your stuff there is a lot of stuff you can’t insure like gem pouches to name one I have about 6000 gems do you know how long it takes to get 6000??
You need to stop thinking about what your char can do in the game and how good of a killer you are and think of how others are just making it. When I first started playing I use the corps stone at brit bank I lost my body so many times because I didn’t have 60K to claim it.

Because i dont have one, what do you need 6k gems on you whenever you go out anyway? ...just curious but i guess i think the economy is fairly well balanced as an opinion of mine but truley if you have something like that its prolly worth more than 60k so it makes sense to try and maybe sell some and collect more then u could still use it, but i think someone can always help

Well looks to me you have more fun complaining on the forums then actually building your character and playing the game...Sorry but its not hard here to make money even as a Very Young player. I played casual when i got here and still had my first house by day 3 and a few hundred k by the end of week 1. So if you want help get in game and ask for it people will hunt with you or even show you a good hunting spot to make money you need. I will be home shortly and can show you a couple really good spots for a new player with minimal skills to earn their way.
If not you can feel free to stay here and complain about the prices of a shard extra......

The economy is actually quite balanced and this is coming from someone who is very rich at all. If you keep dying than you are probably killing to difficult of monster and usually if u ask help getting your body people help you out. Also the price of the corpse stone didnt got up because of all the gold in the game it went up because of the amount of players in the shard. When i first started playing there were normally like 30-40 people on at a time now there is 50-60 so the price of things get pushed up.

If there are people who have money in this game, which there are, wouldn't it be a fair assumption that this money is also available to you to find/collect/save and that you can be accomplished as well? *scratches head*

Furthermore, do you actually expect to stay out of harms way going to Fel, alone, with no insurance and being newer to the shard... ?

Also, why don't you train up your skills before going out? If you train hiding/stealth, your life will be a lot easier, not to mention getting your fighting skills and SS up. There are certain things you should focus on when you are new, and hunting in Fel is not one of those things.

(95% of the time, people don't mind helping out, if it is a genuine need. I might sigh a little if a hear a new player asking for help when they are in Fel, but I usually help them, just giving them advice when I show up.)

Like Jill said, your situation isn't unique, we have all been new. And we have all had to make strategic decisions.

If you want to win a race, you dont start out running 12mph... you build up to it. Same thing when playing a game... you build up to becoming the best you can be...

Now, if you want everything to be immediate and have the strength to slay grand monsters overnight, then it's best to go watch Star Trek followed by The Incredible Hulk, then dream about having a Replicator and being radioactively altered.

Everyone seems to think that I am or was asking for help... I’m not! I was complaining about the jump from 2500gp to I think it’s 60k. I am a very good player but I don’t play the game for gold what’s the point when you can GM every skill and make what you need.

I guess I upset that I had died one time in fel and I had just made it in time to the corps stone to claim my body and got it but I wouldn’t have gotten it if it was set for 60k. I try to keep about 100k to 500k but when you see something you need and get it and left with nothing and you die trying to get the gold you spent. That sucks when your char is wroth over 1mil

The point is.. and this is my last post on this topic because we all seem to agree except you, Theunknown, you are lucky that the corpse stone is even an option.. consider a luxury item for people who can afford it. Most shards don't have them at all..

We have already posted about the Corpse Stone price. The real price was never meant to be 2500 or 5k. This was altered at one time, and we were simply unaware of the change. The price is as it should be. I think that it has been stated plenty of times, but one should not need to use the Corpse Stone but in the most dire of times if one plays responsibly. If ones items are worth 1 million gold, then I would think that 60k is a very small price to pay if one chooses retrieval via a most convenient Corpse Stone.

But what about us new players? Who it would take a full days work to get 60k? I mean I play a lot, but I don't have a very strong character at this point, so I'm lucky if I can make 30k in a day and keep it.
