It seems Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina have been suffering the most power outages, less so in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York.

Stay warm and safe dreamy.

Power is still on here in northern Virginia. The wind is keeping the high tree branches clear so they don't get heavy and fall on power lines. The lower-level bushes are full of snow and bent to the ground. 18 inches so far. It changed from light weight dust-type snow to heavy wet snow overnight and there's still another 8 hours or so of snow in the forecast. I could still see an outage.

Wow, Dream! That is harsh...we lost power that first night, but only for about 2 hours. Like you we have a fireplace...and now I think we may invest in a generator some time in the near future!
I hope you and yours and everyone else that has had to deal with this weather stays safe and warm.
Starfish & coffee, maple syrup & jam. Butterscotch clouds & a tangerine, side order of ham.
