New to this Shard

Hello everyone,
I have played UO since the day it was originally released back in '97 and quit OSI servers around 2003 or so. Since then I've played probably a few dozen free shards and even ran one for awhile as well. I've come back from a long break from UO and came across this shard so decided to join yesterday and have fallen in love with it. I love the custom scripts, the new look on armor/weaps, etc.. Ive spent a few hours reading through the wiki here and seem to get for the most part how everything works. I was wondering if there are any friendly guild's out there that would accept a new player. I'm currently working on maxing my stats (first dex, then str, then lastly int) as well as combat skills (archery, swords, fencing, tactics, healing) and already have (100 musicianship, 100 peacemaking, 100 hiding) and plan on working animal taming and animal lore next. If any help could be given in a guild such as good places to earn gold (currently farming ettin's and earth elementals now but it does the job), some items to possibly help someone starting out, etc.. I am always willing to return the favor any way I can whether that be helping other new players, helping with champ spawns once I'm able to, etc.. Looking forward to meeting everyone here and hopefully finding a friendly and helpful guild that I can be a part of!

It would help to know your time zone or play times as there are several active guilds who would welcome you. Also check out the guild forum to see what best fits you. ETA does a great job getting people set up and schooled. There are several Euro guilds that are active and kick butt... give WC a shout.

Only one active US guild that I am aware of and they're not very friendly, bunch of nefarious pirates. I hear they actually throw their new members overboard, making them swim home!

I suppose that would help wouldnt it. Im on the east coast US so EST time zone. I play most every night from 9 - 2am usually and then some mornings. Although this swimming to shore does sound tempting. Heck you could even throw me out and troll me behind the boat as sea monster bait!

Don't forget to train stealth now that your hiding is up, it's one of the early game-changers...

Animal taming is super simple to level here. Use jewelry to get to 60 skill then use the pet brush to make pet related products (crafting) to get it higher. If you start harvesting bees, you can easily get the wax you need to bring Animal Taming to 120.

Get stealing maxed as well... Plenty of stealables on the server!

There are a few Rune Libraries that will make a lot of your early headaches with the game go away! Right now mine is on the world teleporter - Shops > Simply's Rune Library

You will find this server is heavily modified, it only barely resembles the olds chool UO game, which is nice and refreshing ^_^
