New type of PvP on the shard

I can see merit in your response, I guess this is more of an idea for Colibri I guess than any one else but what about regular scheduled pvp events? Opposed to a red blue system since a lot of people feel strongly against it. Maybe every weekend or every other weekend. *shrugs* I dunno I am just throwing out some ideas, I think there are plenty of people interested in pvp, but it has to be done in a way that does not compromise the integrity of the server. I think if we found a way to deal with that there might be less objections. So for those who would like pvp perhaps we should brain storm as to some other ideas. I will most likely be around more tomorrow just been feeling really crummy all day but let me know if your interested....

Besides, you can already knock peoples heads of in the pvp dungeon, so why bother with a complex script when there are actual issues to be fixed ? I don't get it.

I think dueling event would be fun or maybe a team capture the flag? There are plenty of server that have that kinds thing. I think would add another fun structured team element.

Maybe going in with no cloths or armour. There is a box of standard equipment u pick from. Help with balance and that?

Just think something like this would add extra appeal. Just have it every other week or something?

Ok seems like we have a vote conclusion... for this to go through i'd say at least 60 or 70, preferably 80% would have to agree with it, since it's such a drastic change, and i don't think we'll get 200 voters anytime soon

For those that still wish to PvP, there's the PvP dungeon. And we will probably make a few PvP events in the future.

It's quite funny that you mention this, as there is already such an event in Excelsior. The location for it is actually outside of Luna in Malas. Each participant must wear a specified robe and use a specified lance. Maybe we will have this event soon, as the appeal for such events has increased.

I cant believe so many people think this is a bad idea! There is NO DANGER to people who do not PVP in Fel or anywhere! It only opens up the gift to pthers who WANT to. The gump would have to be accepted AFTER clicking on something to activate PVP on that person, so the conscious choice has to be made! We can all still go anywhere and do anything the same.

As far as the things mentioned that possibly would be brought out in people, thats part of the whole PVP arena.

In support of all players on this shard who own vendors and love interaction, I implore you to pass this idea. it will bring more people to the shard.

Me a jerk? Mmmk. I tought i was just saying out loud what 70% of this server thinks quietly: we don't want to have nothing to do with whats your idea of pvp and don't want to talk about it further as it only brings fight and incomfort.

If i was a jerk I would go in the pvp dungeon teasing other people in general chat with sentences like "free candy in pvp dungeon"

If i was a jerk I would gank the people comming to see 4v1 with pets and bio pets.

If i was a jerk I would say on boards doing that mad my night, that it was a fun night.

If i was a jerk, I would be bragging that I made 40k insurance off people falling for my annoying messages.

My way of being a jerk today has been to hand out worth 500k of powerscrolls to new players. And to suit a new player with stuff including 23lrc 10 lmc legs for a 100 lrc suit that i dyed blue using 6 charges of tokuno dye.

BTW, to futher my lesson about grammar for english writing and spelling, am I missing something or "You should of" should be "You should have"?

I'm sorry but this is part of why I went from being willing to consider this proposal to being flatly against it. This is the reason that so many others voted against it. First in chat, then in the arena, back to chat and now in here.

LOL! My point exactly! Its not the PVP, its the people. So having PVP isn't the problem, its the translation by the people.

I used to bash the idea years ago, because I was bad at PVP. When I learned how to do it safely, then it bacame fun. The main fear is facing death. No chance of loosing "ITAMZ" if you do it right.

On a different note, I find it completely ridiculous that the ones who complain about what "comes out in people" are normally the ones who start the "coming out". Go figure!
