A qurstion about a bow

Post by KnitePrince »

I have asked many times in game chat what is the best bow. No one can answer me, or will :P A couple people have suggested that i find someone with an elven bow recepe ?? I dont know what that is, but if they are more powerfull than a normal crafted composite I am interested.
I need a good bow with spell channeling, and preferably Swing speed increase and damage increase that I can make into a levelable weapon. I am prepared to pay a lot for the right bow, Unfortunately, I do not know what the right bow is yet. I would greatly appriciate any insight on this.
Yes, I know a crafted weapon will level slower than a normal wep, I am ok with that, plan to be around for a while. Thx for any information in advance! Knite

according to stratics, the best DPS is with the heavy crossbow, despite its slow firing rate, will give one a try and see how it goes.

DPS with heavy is highest DPS, but its specials in a pvm environment are not interesting: Follow shot and dismount. It is great with high damage increase, tactics and anat, in pvp arena, especially if you have a weapon skill to first disarm the target.

Short magical bows would be godly if the special move lightning arrow would work, but it doesnt, and even if i reported 7 months ago, i don't have the feeling that it's about to be fixed.

High mana leech on a composite bow (with good things like lower defence, damage increase, swing speed, lightning or fireball) seem to be a sure bet.

I have yet to test long elven bows, but i would suspect that special moves dont work on this shard as well.

For a heavy xbow, i suggest high tactic anat dam inc and bushido, to get 1/4 critical shots. Unfortunatly, bushido honor is not effective either atm. Also reported 7 months ago with little hope for a fix.

All love for tamers, no love for dexers or archers:-(

I'm not super experienced with archery...but I started with the horselord, has reptile slayer, high luck 50% DI and +5 dex to start. The special ability for the Yumi is armor ignore, and seems to work really well. With that, enemy of one and discord can do 200+ damage a hit depending on monster.

Gamma Re is probably the best archer I have seen so far...she uses a crafted Yumi I think.

Or you can get a lvl bow and just keep working it til your where you want it. I happen to have a bamboo bow and it does pretty well for me.

Lot of interesting Views... I coersed Bribed and Beat Black Death until he finally built 500 Crossbows for me.. I wont even own a wep without spell channeling, also picked one with SSI of 30%, Damage increase etc etc.. I REALLY like it so far, it is however missing Life Leach.. something I will try to remedy eventually.. However, next Question..
a levelable Deed, if applied to a weapon, does the weapon Keep its current attributes?
I saw someone say in Chat that you cannot get a levelable weapon with Spell channeling?? If this is true, then I will never own a levelable wep, and was looking forward to it. Would Appriciate some comment on that from someone with a little exp on levelable weps.

Ok yes the weapon keeps its stats.

And you can level weapons with SC.

heh the truth, as painful as it is... I tell my 20 year old Son who benches 300Lbs, that Age and treachery will overcome youth and skill every time... fortunately he still believes that :D

the levelable deed does NOT give the option to add spell channeling (staff was smart to take that out and charge us 100 ED for it lol) ... but you can still do everything else to it

Just as a small aside, spell channeling was never on the levelable deeds. It's always been deed only, or luck of the draw on finding/making a weapon.
