Disappointed

So the other day new land opened up and I moved all my houses to a good spot (one disappeared into the quantum realm until +C fished it out but that was cool) and I set about building my new compound. I don't have enough gold to do what I want yet but... I think it is looking pretty good and I'm moving my houses around to try and figure out how, I want to have it arranged. dump a few million in to yard items and want to show off and ask advice of a few friends so a gate them in to my place. One of them finds room for a small house in the middle of my houses and slaps a house down and asks for 100 million to drop it, (I think its a funny joke but, no he is serious) clearly I don't have that kind of money to pay a friend turned squatter so, here we sit staring at each other for a week now. Not naming any names because that is unkind but, careful who you trust I guess. sigh... guess its back to killing ballys or collecting bones as I cant even shuffle my houses around anymore. It would be different if some stranger found a spot the spot and decided to hold a lot hostage for money but, a friend who you gated to your spot doing something like this is quite disappointing sigh guess Ill never get to build my pallace time to go back to star craft II #Frustrated #disgusted #greifers

While it may not a rule infringement at all, its definitely a pretty low act given all the vacant land available now.

Now I know who it is I'll be warning my brothers and any friends who play to be extremely wary of the person. I'll not deal or knowingly help any player that would do that to a "friend".

Even though it is within their right to be a troll like that; all I can say is wow That is just down right rude. One thing is for certain; at least you know someone not to talk to or hang out with now I guess....

Maybe the person will have a change of heart and do the right thing. I like to try to be positive

This person had told me that they put it down as a joke, I sent them a message to see what the deal is. If they're serious about wanting gold to remove the house...then that person is done in my book. That's just wrong.

I know that when I started placing down the plots for my compound someone else had already placed a house down. I asked them to move the house and they did as a favor...then I figured I wanted all that space all to myself and offered gold for them to remove the house completely and they did...but that was me offering gold and not them wanting gold from me. They also had their house down before I had all my plots there so they didn't do it just to be malicious.

Not all the good people are gone some r still here....with all the land available now it takes a real wad to do something like that.....don't know who it was but sure would like to.....I have my very own wad list.

Yes, I feel it was a really dirty move for someone to pull on a friend who gated you in to look at their new place but, sadly there isn't much I can do about it. been here almost ten years and haven't felt this frustrated since someone picked up 8k ore that I was skipping 2 tiles at a time to a forge after mining all day (back before I had a HBOH). They gave it back after a bit as it was clear while their actions were legal it was clearly greifing and poor sportsmanship to snipe someone like that.

cant really work on my lots right now as moving houses around doesn't work with a squatter in the middle. Am I even legally allowed to join my houses around some elses? Starcraft two LOTV is a good out let for frustrations right now... if anyone plays

Update: This issue has been handled.

This individual sold the plot to another player that bought it for Nick. I found out how much the plot was sold for and was able to strongarm that player to give the money back. Luckily I had something this player really wanted so in the end it worked out but as far as i'm concerned this player is going on my ignore list and I will not be communicating with this player from this point forward. This is a relatively small community and of course there are some players you like and some you don't but the thing that has no place here IMO is dirty play. You do that and as Mr Wonderful would say..."you're dead to me".

Yes, I meant to update. I won't use her name but, someone purchased the plot and PMed me and gave it to me and wouldn't say how much she paid for it. I am very glad we (generally) have a very good community here and look out for each other fairly well. Still working on my home (yard items are really expensive) but, I am confident it will look really good when done. Of course that will probably January or something like that.
