Werewolf Form Question (Hide of the Werewolf King)

Anyone know what triggers turning into a werewolf while wearing the Hide of the Werewolf King from the Halloween Dungeon? Or how long werewolf form lasts?

It doesn't seem to be tied to the in-game moon (changes depending where you are/spyglass tells me the moon phases shift fairly quick). Is it based off real life moon phases? Just a built-in timer?

Old post but was wondering the same thing and couldn't find any answers. Didn't feel like sending a ticket just for this so... Anyone know anything about it?

Edit: It seems like the transformation doesn't work at all, sent a report.

it is possible that the shifting thing was disabled because, it lead to a lot of help request when ppl would relayer the hide and then get upset when they would polymorph all the time. When it works It happens a lot per day if i recall.

I hope one day it'll get a toggle or something similar if it's disabled (double click like a halloween costume or something). Would be a shame to see such a unique feature be lost.

It's supposed to be working, I checked the code and it seems to be operational.

It's also supposed to be a bit of an easter egg, but I'll explain:
It only works during a full moon - the real world full moon. (When the moon is 7/8 full, for a time span of almost 4 days around the full moon).
Next full moon is on November 12th, so try again on about November 10th or 11th.
