"UNUSED" item

i found this "UNUSED" item for 2 times in a Cultist's Corpse at Halloween Dungeon, what is item and what is it used for ? any idea will be highly appreciated

Been a while, but I believe that is the graphic that is shown for an item that doesn't have a graphic for when it's in your backpack. Really old-timers on OSI will remember when you could drag chess/checker pieces to your backpack and since they didn't have a graphic, they'd show that Unused thing.

Are you able to loot it? If not, it may be an item that was added by GM/Spawner that is meant to do something, but they forgot to set it to hidden, maybe.

yes, i cannot loot it and i also found some similar stuff like that near Trinsic.

You may need to update your client files.
There is a gate in TC to a room where you check
your graphics.
I get that a lot when I run the notrees patch. None
of the Excelsior customs show.

well, i checked that and my patch level is 12, is that the lastest version?

Do you have more than one copy of Ultima Online installed on your computer? It's possible you're picking up the right client exe but getting the data files from the wrong directory.

In the patch room, make sure you can -see- the named graphics, not just see that your client reports the correct version.

No, i dont have more than one copy of UO, and i saw the named graphics in the patch room also, everything seems normal i guess.

I just go this now - was there any fix?

The reason I ask is I did a claim all and now have 2 of these sitting in my backpack that i cant remove.

I have been to the patch room and it says I am on version 12

I've noticed this before. It happens when I claim corpses. It shows up in the default client as well.

This is a picture of some of the other invisible items, but was taken in the default client.

It was not until this year that I saw other invisible items besides the "unused" item. This is "Short Beard" and a "Ponytail" on the ground.

Here are the names of the items that my trasher found in my backpack and then attempted to throw away.

• Short Beard
• Goatee
• Ponytail
• Long Hair
• Mustache
• Long Beard
• Unused

There are other unnamed items as well. They all appear to have unique graphics. I don't need the graphics since I can filter by properties.

I went to investigate, because it annoyed me seeing the "you cannot pick up this item" message popping up every second or so. Then it confused me why I was seeing Beard and Hair stuff (printing out the properties). It looks like it is a finite list though (not randomly named). The only one that is visible is the "Unused" one y'all showed a picture of.

You won't see any of these if you don't claim corpses in the Halloween Dungeon and even if you do get them in your backpack, they will eventually disappear. I have found no ways to remove them, but you don't really need to.

yes, there are still some unused tile, but its used with (unused) picture. that looks like 2 pig tails , seen such on groun once.
there must be a way to make yarns of wool from all that hair!!!
