Your meme should really read: rest in peace "non-avian" dinosaurs. The Aves (modern birds) are a group of extant dinosaurs that survived the cataclysm 65-odd million years ago and then evolved into the feathered friends we know today. Most dinosaurs died out, but not all. Plus their death opened niches that allowed our own evolution into the computer wielding species we are today, so whilst we miss these big guys, we should rejoice in their death, as it cleared the way for our own progress over the next millions of years....
