Proper Client

Post by redvega »

I know you can download the 500mb package but I'd rather just get the proper client. Everything else has already been installed according to instruction. Can someone email me the client they use? I can provide my email in a PM. Thanks!

I use 5.0.6c I think it is, but I'm not sure you can patch up to that point and stop anymore.

If you find a loction to DL the original Ultima Online: Mondain's Legacy Client. I cant right now as those sites are blocked at work. Then once you get that. Run the auto patch and pay attention to what its patching.

Dont get the one from the main Ultima Online site cause its patched passed version 6.. So your need to find the old one

When it has finished installed the patch to get 5.0.6 (it think)and starts installing the next one. Click Cancel a few times so it stops.

Once it has stopped go into the directory where you installed it to and look for a folder called Patch or Patches.. Delete those.

Now get a copy of Razor. and enter the following details to connect to the shard
(The details I found for that are:)

Address: shard.uoex.net, port 60
or
address shard.uoex.net, port 2593

Let me know if it works

I was under the impression that OSI made the Cancel button non-functional while patching. If that is the case, simply Ctl+Alt+Del and close the patcher that way (thats what I remember having to do).

I was also under the impression they broke the former patch method. The UO:ML client was on download.com. I created the patch file as a read only file so that when it got to the patch I wanted it couldn't advance to the new one because it was trying to overwrite a read only file and would cancel itself.
