IDOC - house drop - November 23th 2024

Post by +Colibri »

There will be an IDOC event on Saturday, November 23th, at 22:00 shard time. Time zone calculator

The houses will fall a few minutes after 22:00, after a short speech :)

The post title says the 24th and the body of the message says 23rd. The time zone calculator says Sunday the 24th. Can you clarify what day the event is happening?

What Alameister said.

Also, a bit off topic, but the donation bonus raffle stone wasn't configured properly, if you had time to fix it that would be awesome.

Oops, sorry, it's the saturday the 23rd (which is the 24th in the morning for australia). Fixed both the title and the link.

I hope the server comes back up soon; I haven't finished marking IDOCs for the Runes house.

And once again it is held on saturday.
So it is just for the elite as always. GL HF
Next time maybe consider something like in the week. The same reasoning applies as to saturday: if you cant be there on that day it is your problem.
Alternating weekend/weekday on big events would at least make it fair. Otherwise always the same ppl profit.

Bro you do realize to the rest of us besides a handful of people weekends. Aka Saturday is the best time week for events with jobs and families. So if something like this game and shard is important to you take the time to participate.

well it is the discrimination that happens. The same reasoning could be taken for weekdays. there are people that dont play on weekends.
So if something like this game and shard is important to you take the time to participate on weekdays. and i do not ask that EVERY event is on weekdays. but maybe SOME? There is not a single one. maybe every other, just alternate between weekdays and weekends. would also mix up the people that participate.

Throwing around words like "discrimination" is a bit much. No one is excluding you based upon an arbitrary reason. It is not about one person but about the majority and when +C is available. It is his server after all so his needs are #1. He has a new family member and a job so having an event that requires him to run it during the week is unlikely. This is a game after all so don't get so worked up over something like and IDOC. If this version of UO doesn't line up to your schedule then there are plenty of other options. If +C started having these during the week then I would definitely look at other servers that are more geared to my schedule. Find what works for you're desires instead of trying to force something to conform to you're desires.

Would that even work out for you? I presume your weekend activity is a job, since you wouldn't be asking the rest of us to accept inconvenience as a result of weekend engagements that were mere preference. That means you don't work every weekday, but you do work some of them, right? You'd be a truly rare bird if you always worked weekends but never worked any weekdays.
