We did stay on topic, since we were trying to show some of the shard conditions - equipments, pets, all skills without cap, etc - as the factor that would make PvP unbalanced, and therefore, unadequate for Excelsior. You brought an idea, we cared to explain why we were against it (instead of just saying whether we were for or against it). And you just happen to be the easiest example to come to mind yourself; nothing personnal on it.
Should anyone else had given the idea, you'd probably still be the example. We aren't saying that you are the only issue; we are just using you as an example of a bigger issue, and fact is, not the only issue to give us reason to oppose it.
So, just summing it up for those who couldn't understand: some of us are against, since we think there would not be a balanced and fair PvP. And, personally, I happen to agree with Colibri that this kind of thing is likely to create a whole lot more issues for an already overwhelmed staff to handle - if not fights, then at least requisitions to do this or that to balance the PvP.
Karma wrote:If there is realy enouph interest in pvp I could and would have no problem starting a fight club guild. I could easly turn the bottom floor of my house into a battle room. Mayeby the bottom 2 floors if enouph people were interested. Simple rules teamed events would be blue robes vs red robes. Only gm crafted gear would be alowed nothing that had been ed to keep the playground as even as possable. All chat about fights to be kept in guild chat. Rules being broke gets you banned from house and removed from guild.
Now this is a great idea. Heck, if staff would agree, you guys could even get a special permission to fight all over the world, just a few places excluded - such as BB. It's much more balanced, it's ready to be done, no changes required and it'd only depend on the players to organize.
But anyway, I'm stepping off the discussion. I probably won't be engaging PvP in neither way, and should the first propose be accepted, all that join it will do at their own risk.
But expect me to quote some statementes of this topic, should we ever see any trouble on the forums due to this PvP thing.
