No no, the way it works on OSI, there is a head, in the middle of the altar, you click your virtue gump (the star at the top of your paperdoll), then you press your valor virtue (the sword) wich gives you a target and you target the head, wich starts the spawn. No timer, but you can't start it without being knight of valor.
One technical question though: how do you suggest we keep the rare spawns like that? I mean, Lord Oaks for instance. It spawns once a week. Wouldn't this make possible for it to be spawned more, and therefore, make the Harrower easier to summon?
We could ask for more points for summoning him, for example. But on the other hand, that would mean a lot of Neira and MOA summoning, since they would require the lesser quantity of points.

Well, being that you need to hunt monsters for an amount of 3-6 hours before being knight of valor, it doesnt really matter if you hunt 3-6 hours with your main, then do the champ, rinse and repeat; or if you do it on your main, do a champ, then on your first mule, do a champ...

Well, on a production shard, I will get 12 stats scrolls (24 if i have an alt protecting me) even if I do the harrower solo. Here, If I do it alone, I will get one stat scroll (it gives one per player, i think its maximum 6). That by itself is already a great way to prevent to many stat scrolls on the market. Also, If you ask me, the oaks spawn is certainly the hardest spawn to do, and usually costsyou all your karma. Finally, to summon the harrower you need all 6 skulls, wich would be a good incentive to do other spawns than barracoon.

So no, I would see no reason to limit the access at Oaks. Especially that the stats scroll are not that much wanted. My last +20 went for 700k at an auction. When the cap is at 300 here, having it higher is not the big thing, but on OSI, the cap being at 225, that +25 can be very important.

Oaks is only hard if you can't survive without enchanted grove.

And yes, stat points are just as important here, sadly people don't understand how much.

LoL! Yah, I saw you try to sell your +15 for quite a long time;-) What I am saying is that going from 300 to 315 is not as noticable as going from 225 to 240 (obviously, 300 stats can let you some good room to have enough str, int and dex, while it's alot morethight at 225). And please note that I mentionned that they are not as much "wanted", not that they are not important... Big difference!

For me, Oaks is the hardest spawn with or without enchanted grove. It reverts faster, and level 4 mobs hit alot harder that any other mobs in any champ spawn, not even mentionning their reflect physical. But meh, depending on the buildup of your character and the strategies you use, maybe its easyer for you to do oaks than MOA;-)

But anyway, thoses are details, the reason I posted was to see if people would agree to a valor system for spawning, wich you have yet to answer.

I'd rather not see it happen. Scrolls aren't hard to get now, even with bags ganking them out of the economy. And there's more then enough gold going around.

The problem right now is the supply is too high and people undercut and undercut until the economy goes to crap. The additional gold influx wouldn't help either.

I'd kill for an additional 15 points to distribute right now, and I'm at 345.

Well under the model I am proposing, there wouldnt be more scrolls on the market, but more players would have access to them. It is easy for the same player with the right timing to go thru 10+ spawns a day, just impossible for the occasionnal player to find a spawn available most of the time. If the model i propose would be adopted and the time to get knight of valor would be 6 hours, the maximum one player could do in one day is 2 or 3 champs (if he sleeps).

And even the occasional player could still do a champ a week, in a convenient timing...
And lets be honest: 6 hours invested for a champ is merely fun, and no way it's a quicker way to make money than any other.

I work 8-10 hours a day and when I get home there are almost always at bare minimum 3-4 maybe even 5 champs up and active somewhere.

seems like everyone has either ignored my post, or failed to see the logic in it
what a shame, continueing this is going to be the equivalent of another nerf, amog the vastly growing quantity of nerfs

A nerf would be if less champs are made each day. Under the proposed model, there could be as much champs; just not always by the same players. There would also probably more harrowers being done. And players would actually be sure that they are going to do a champ spawn, instead of running around half an hour just to find all inactive champs made by one player who wakes up early.
