Hurricane Irma
Hurricane Irma
I've been getting PM's from people that at concerned for me plus others that are here in Florida. Where I am we are suppose to be just about directly hit from Irma. I am in St. Pete. I am NOT in a evac zone and I live in a brick house. We have boarded up our windows and we have 11 cases of water, batteries, flash lights and I even filled zip lock bags up with water and put them in the freezer when the power goes out we can throw those into the cooler with the cold food items. I have someone to do my bees if I lose power and I have a co-owner on my TC vendor (sorry that's staying lol). I will be safe, I promise you!

Re: Hurricane Irma
this one is one of those propane powered ones.. powers house up for a week
Re: Hurricane Irma
I hope all the best to everyone there... I've been checking out the news periodically, cant quite comprehend how an entire state of that size will be pretty much non inhabitable for a day or two untill it loses strength.. Unfortunately it didnt make a turn towards the atlantic when it could. Stay safe!

Re: Hurricane Irma
Mostly just rain up here in St Augustine. No power outages yet but the worst is yet to come.
Re: Hurricane Irma
Kitana, hope you are safe, I live just above Tampa close to the Gulf. We left and found a hotel in Mississippi. Looks like you get hit pretty good.
Re: Hurricane Irma
Its 12:27am right now and The eye has hit Lakeland, it ended up turning east and NOT hitting me thank God, but we still got and is still getting some pretty rough winds right now. I've heard a few strange noises outside (I'm boarded up so I can see outside) so it will be interesting to see the after math in the morning. Stay safe up the where you are and hopefully when you are able to come back there isn't much damage to your house! Keep me posted Odin!

Re: Hurricane Irma
We survived yay! Lots down of trees and limbs is all so far
Re: Hurricane Irma
Still alive and surprisingly still power for once during a hurricane. We took the golf cart around the neighborhood even though they said they didn't want anyone on the streets (we are Floridians and we never listen, I know), there are tons of down power lines and uproot huge trees, LOTS of tree limbs all over. The roads literally look like something from the Walking Dead with leaves and such all over the road ways. Lots of traffic lights out where I live. Where I live we haven't seen a storm surge yet but it is still expected to come. Still pretty windy right now and raining off and on and the sirens...oh the sirens aren't stopping.

Hi, We are still in MS, heading home tomorrow. Talked to a neighbor who was braver than me and the house is still in one piece, just some tree branches to clean up. I hope any Excelsior Floridians are safe and sound.
